A toaster that works well AND is aesthetically pleasing!

I had been on the hunt for a toaster that would go well with out black stainless steel appliances. I wasn't finding anything that I felt would look similar. When I came across this Cuisinart I was so excited. The color is perfect and looks great with all our other appliances. Love the four slots - so handy with a family of 4. So far we find that it works well, settings are east to manage (and not too many too be overwhelming), and easy to clean. I find it finger print resistant, as well - or maybe we just don't touch the front?! The knobs are sensitive so if you hit it, it will turn, however it hasn't been an issue for us. I have found that if you have something lighter in the slot and it pops up, sometimes it pops it out of the toaster. That has only happened a few times in the months we have had it = again, not an issue for me.

Great toaster

We bought this toaster to replace a standard slot toaster. My husband likes to toast a variety of sized breads and bagels and it just wasn’t happening with the old toaster. The slots on this new one are plenty wide and nothing gets stuck and burns anymore. I was concerned that there were more buttons and controls, but they are pretty basic and there haven’t been any problems with those. It toasts evenly and will reheat your toast without drying it out or turning it into a smoldering mess. It’s easy to clean. Pretty much all we were looking for in a toaster.

Temperature control knobs poor

This toaster is much better than our previous Toastmaster unit. Way faster and the toast pops up better. There is some unevenness, but not bad. The only real complaint is that the temperature (light/dark) control knobs are far too easy to accidentally bump and inadvertently change. Just trying to grab one to adjust it is difficult as the slightest touch sends it way off where it was. Overall, it appears to be a good toaster.

White 4-slice Cuisine Toaster

I read the reviews prior to purchasing; I got the white because it costs a little less, and bought this ignoring one review that the dial was flimsy — it is! Regardless, it’s manageable and I can deal with it. This toaster takes up less room than the one I had over 20 years, which I gave to my daughter and son-in-law because it still works. This toaster is not as sturdy as my Hamilton Beach toaster was, but good enough as toasters go.

It has its limitations

The features all sound terrific but the actual performance is less. The most important limits are in the width of the openings. Too narrow for a sliced baguette. Often have to pound it twice to get started. There is a note for one slice but both light up.

tasty toast

Toasts bread, bagels, even frozen french toast on the defrost setting to perfection. I haven’t had a toaster in a while because we’ve been using a toaster oven and I’m so happy we chose this one. It looks nice, has pull out crumb trays to clean and is easy to store if you don’t want it on the counter. Worth the price for the quality.

Bagels

When toasting bagels they don’t fit well in slots which you have to use a lower temperature so it doesn’t burn them. It does make wonderful toast.

Awesome toaster

I love the adjustable knobs for the different levels of toasting, and I never thought about it, but I also love the cancel button, which is a whole lot easier than just trying to pull the levers up. Huge improvement from having a white toaster and by English muffins are perfectly crunchy on top

Nice looking toaster

I like the toaster, nice and quick but I still find that it does not toast even on both sides.. one side is always darker.

Works great.

The look fits our kitchen perfectly. Easily adjustable toast settings. Perfect toast on both sides. Would be even better if wider fresh bread slices would fit. We just cut them in half.
