Don't need water in the trap anymore with this product

I installed a water catch basin pan (like a shower pan) underneath my washing machine. This product traps the sewer gasses but allows water to flow down the drain. This means you don't have to worry about missing water in the drain pipe.

Cheaply made knockoff

I was lead to believe this product was a Green Drain due to the exact design! I tried it out to compare against the Green Drain product that I have installed throughout 3 of my restaurants. First, as I was removing the product from its flimsy packaging, the components started falling off. The rubber gasket literally fell right off without touching it!! Second, the product does not fit into the physical drain (3") due to the top portion of the gasket being a solid piece of plastic (3/4 fit). I had to squeeze it into the drain housing, and once again the rubber gasket slipped right off and almost fell into my drain. ZShield is a cheaply made replica of the Green Drain product I have had installed throughout my restaurants for well over a year without any problems. I will be returning this item 100%. Do yourself a favor and perform your due diligence before settling with cheaply made imitation products. I am disappointed with Zurn, as I have used their drain hubs in the past. Quality, not quantity Mr. Corporate Zurn!

Knew it was overpriced, but still disappointed

This item is made in China and priced way over what materials, assembly, and design could ever justify. Soft rubber diaphragm is rippled on arrival, and promises to only get worse. I will be returning.

Underwhelming, arrived defective

When it arrives, you look at it and say “wow, that’s a $5 piece of rubber I just paid $25 for. Then it doesnt work at all, had to replace.

When does 4" equal 2"?

Bad product description. Part is labeled 4" but the actual part is only a bout 2" if that. Careful what you order. No chance to test or install since it is the wrong size.
