Weaver 16oz weight and rope. A+

The media could not be loaded. This is the weaver 16oz bag and rope/line. Using the big shot launcher, I made a limb about 35 feet at an angle maybe about 60°. This rope slides so easily over several limbs and branches at the same time!

Throw weight and line

This line is working well abrasion is very minimal packaging is good for this product and the throw weight is tough and easy to master with a little practice. I can further report that when incorporated into our newly acquired line bag for throwing and storing after multiple deployments this line performance was higher than expected. Deployed with little to no drag at heights of thirty plus feet easily gliding over limbs to provide fast attachment and rope deployment to bring down large limbs and trunk sections safely without damage to property.

Good quality

Looks and feels to be good quality. No issues with fraying like some reviewers had. Almost twice the diameter of the Zing-It line I'm used to, so we'll see how well it works in tight unions. I prefer the heavier 16 oz weight when isolating my line around branches. Also packs nicely into a small Weaver red throwline bag.

Nice line and weight

Duh! The company who makes it is named 'Weaver Leather', it's not made of leather. Leather would be a poor choice anyway. The cover on the weight is durable canvas-like fabric and is clearly visible. The attachment ring is sewn on very well and there is nothing to snag. The line is a smooth durable braided poly which resists tangling. Works well. Practice your technique if you've never thrown a line before, don't try to throw it like a baseball.

Throws great but can get stuck between the limb and the trunk.

Got stuck between a limb and tree first time I threw it. Had to shoot it out with a 22 (tried shooting off the limb, but I shoot like I throw). Beads went everywhere. It threw real nice though. I added BB's and taped it back up with gorilla tape and it works like new!

Weight just right

Throw weight is just the right weight to throw far but not to heavy or too light. Polyprop rope doesn’t flex very well, but works OK. Changed rope to a softer more expensive rope. It doesn’t tangle as easy and doesn’t seem to get stuck on a branch like poly prop rope does. Colour of the throw weight is nice and bright to aid seeing while throwing in a tree before connecting a proper climbing rope.

Good weight, junk rope.

The throw bag is a great quality! I ordered the 16oz bag and I am glad I did so. It is very heavy for launching but also gives a great shot at coming back down through Douglas fir canopy and branches. I have been launching it with the bigshot and it goes roughly 70ft. I might try a lighter bag and see if that goes higher. The reason for the 2 stars is the rope is crap! After about 8 launches it has freighting in the rope and gets good kinks in it. The weight is good, rope is junk.
