It works good for my needs.

Ordered this to keep an eye on the temp and humidity level in my baby turtle tank. It works ok, but you should know that it isn’t dead accurate. It tends to be a couple degrees off on both meters. So if you are looking for something that will give you “exacts”, this isn’t what you are wanting. A couple degrees isn’t a huge deal till I can pick up something else. I mean, I’m not trying to form factor male/female egg incubation. I’m just keeping my eye on the heat and humidity build up. And with this, I can see the changes from day to day, based on what lights I’m running, if the lid is open or closed, water filter raising humidity level, and when to ease up on the fogger. This isn’t a bad item to have just for a ballpark tally. However, you can buy more accurate meters for about the same price. Even some digital models. Im just not a fan of digital gauges for this type of uses. I don’t want to have to change a battery in 6 months or just throw one away because the battery replacement cost about as much as the gauge itself. I’ll stick to mechanical. It might not be as accurate, but it will outlive an armload of digital gauges. In 20 years, when your digital version is (dead) sitting in a junk drawer, my old school version will still be telling me the temp and humidity levels of what my junk drawer is.

Good product

I bought this for my hermit crab tank. It comes with Velcro to stick on the back of the tank. I peeled off the little wrapper to reveal the sticky part to put on the tank, and it wasn't sticky. I used some double sided sticky tape that I had, but every morning my gauge would be hanging down. I do like this them/hygro. It's easy to read.

East to use!

This product is small and easy to use. It adheres to the side of the cage and seems quite accurate. I use it to adjust the temperature and humidity in the cage of my hermit crab.

Meh...

Cheap option until you get a more reliable and better quality hygrometer. Readings are in the ballpark (when comparing to a previously owned digital hygrometer I have in my room). I bought this one to keep inside crabitat to double-check against my room hygrometer, just as a backup.

Terrible adhesive

The adhesive on the back wouldn't peel off correctly so now it won't stick to the aquarium glass - which defeats the whole purpose of having it for my hermit crabs. I just bought aquarium safe silicone adhesive to adhere it to the inside of the aquarium. Disappointing!

There are better options.

The paper wouldn’t come off the back to expose the sticky part easily. Once stuck it fell off the glass within a week rendering it useless. It’s very hard to read. Waste of money. Purchased a digital with leads going into the tank that works much better and it wasn’t much more than this one.

Snakes easy to care for

I have several of these hermit crab thermo/hydro we used for our collection of snakes. They are accurate and easy to read from a tank. Sheds are awesome. Have reordered several times.

Doesn't work

I've placed this beside another digital thermometer/hygrometer and it doesn't appear to be working. Will be asking for a refund. It arrived quickly, but in a bubble wrap envelope without additional protective packing.
