I gave this, plus 2 other similar marionettes ine this line, to my 8 year old nephew. He seems to love them. The elephant was his favorite. It is out of scale with the other animals, though. The elephant is a bit smaller than the reindeer.

Lightweight but fun toy

This elephant was a little smaller than I imagined, and a little on the light side for a marionette. Ideally, a marionette would be heavier for more precise movements, but my little sister loved it just the same and got some really great play out of it. For this price, I would buy it again.

I bought this for my 4 year old who had been trying to turn every stuffed animal into a marionette. She loves it. I plan on getting her some of the others. The elephant is supper cute.

Not what I expected

While it was exactly as described I didn't anticipate the "16 inches" to include the strings and handle I actually thought the elephant would be 16" tall. Sames goes for my camel marionette I purchased at the same time. Exactly as described but maybe descriptions in the future could include the fact "entire package is 16 inches". In addition to that I assumed, much to my dismay, that the pupett handle would include TWO intersections- one for the back legs and one for the front legs. This was not the case leading to less control of the pupet itself. All in all it was as described and I would recommend it for other people as a fun toy for a friend or child, in my case wife, but be aware of what your getting and sunny puppets should make facts a little more clear.

A big hit

My son loves the elephant marionette. It is easy to operate and is pretty easy to untangle! Definitely worth the purchase.
