So easy to build and it looks great!
Our old garbage can lid would not close any more, so we bought this one that was very similar. It was so easy to put together and it looks so great. I wish them made a smaller version, like just as tall but more narrow, like kitchen size. I would love to put it by our patio furniture. This big one is out by our pool and by the time we are even just a 1/4 full the bag has been there for months and is breaking from sitting in the heat for so long. A bit smaller would be perfect. But in the mean time, this one is great!!! and ideal for when we have a party and have a lot of plates and cup and garbage. Ill probably rebuy this in another 5-10 years,

I think most people expressed their general enthusiasm about the item and I only can join the happy choir as it is truly great item. I ordered two of them and they are keepers. I wanted to share with you something that others seems to omit and those are the things I wish I knew while searching for it as they would help me to make the right decision so here they are: COLOR BEWARE!!!! or rejoice! I ordered brown and I was really hoping to get that dark deep brown that is posted but you know how it is with ordering online. Sometimes the color is way off. So this time, it was total delight. I am so happy. When I opened the box and I saw the exact color I wished for I was so happy. I posted the color I ordered along with my review so you can see which one on the amazon website I ordered and so you know that this is the exact color that they shipped. BACK VIEW.. I saw the same brand making similar container that has bit differnt patter, more of a planks then wicker and frankly I like it better but could not find it anywhere. So I picked this one instead with lower part plank like pattern and the upper part the wicker pattern. To my surprise the back side is all plank! So if I want I can keep them that way for the look I prefer, all planks... look. This require to turn the bin backwards so the flap will not open when you approach it so if this does not bother you and you can do bit of a extra lift then you can get that look too.. just by turning the bean back to front... no, you can not flip the sides while you putting it together because the sides are not interchangeable. Their position is set. But this is really great news for me. LOCK! that they don't tell you about! Yes it comes with a lock! It is a little slide type of thing that the top comes with and so once you lift the top, place your stuff inside and then close it, just by the same movement almost you can lock it... as ll you have to do is slide down or up the handle you use to lift it and that way it is locked or opened, YOU can keep it either all locked or all open it does not lock by itself. This is nifty to protect from smart racoons or kids. IT DOES NOT COME ASSAMBLED BUT YOU SNAP THE 6 PIECES IN PLACE IN 3 MINUTES. NO TOOLS. I was bit concerned when it come in a flat box I went.. oh.. oh.. As I know putting together some plastic containers may require screws and lots of gymnastics, I am not happy to do that. So this was a relief to see that NO TOOLS are required, NONE whatsoever. It snaps snap snap and done.. I had to do it twice since I bought two containers that I need for two places so it was fun to learn on the first one and then use the skills on the second one. MY TIPS FOR SNAPPING SIDES: - don't attempt to do the long sides as they are upwards, that is more complicated and makes process difficult. - start with all pieces sorted and lying flat. - look carefully at the long sides, they come in two pairs, put them aside together. - work near a clean wall so you can push the box agains the wall to snap sides in place , wall will be your assistant, a second person.. START with a long flat side.. on the floor.. snap the bottom at the end of it. Then snap the opposite side on it.. but beware the pairs of long walls with the same interior pattern need to face each other. So now put them on the opposite side, you will need to figure out which sides to put in first as the other two have to cover the first pair. snap them on.. Now just add the lid and you are done.

Easy assembly and looks great!
This required NO tools for assembly, everything snaps together. I watched a YouTube video to prepare me, and it went smoothly. It is made of plastic so there were a couple of initial misalignment issues but I worked through them. I am thinking after they sit in the sun for a bit, they will self-align and be fine. These look great and match the woven patio furniture we have. Clearly a step up from standard plastic trash cans.

Wonderful!
I’ve kept this thing outside in all kinds of weather and it still looks new. Incredibly easy to assemble and looks really pretty. If you plan on keeping this outside where it can get rain in it or plan on putting containers with liquid in it you might want to use a bag. It leaked in the back of my friends truck when dumping it.

Love it its a great product, I'm using it for inside the house for laundry. Will be buying two more for the inside to use for garbage and one for recycling. For those that says the top part keeps popping up, just push in the side of the trash can then push down the top to hear the snap. After that it won't pop up again. I can out the main top fast to remove the bag and it will close back with just a gentle push down. It doesn't pop up at all.

I was looking for something to put in the back yard so that the kids would have somewhere to put their garbage when enjoying the pool in the summer months. I wanted to make sure that garbage wouldn't blow everywhere so needed something that would contain it but wouldn't look like an eyesore. The Suncast Trash Hideaway showed up in my Amazon search and it looked like it would fit the bill. Once receiving and assembling it, this was confirmed. Assembly was so simple. There are instructions but they're hardly necessary. It is just six pieces and they snap together so quickly. No tools are required for assembly. Once snapped together, it is quite rigid and won't come apart easily. There is a lid with a latching mechanism that is quite simple to open. This is what you'd use when placing garbage in the unit. Then, for replacing a bag or emptying the unit, the entire top lid hinges open after you pull the release handle. It takes 30 - 33 gallon bags which are readily available. Once you see how it opens and closes, you can easily insert the bag and keep the excess hidden so the bag stays retained but you don't end up with the top of the bag overflowing the unit. Overall, a simple design that's quite effective and is a welcome addition to the back yard.

Perfect kitchen can for a garbage eating dog.
Even though it's listed as an outdoor garbage can we use it in our kitchen. There were no tools req for assembly and it took me about 2 minutes. Once together it looks amazing. It has a locking latch lid that I wasn't expecting. I bought it for our kitchen because our poodle was getting into all the other "made for kitchen" cans..this is durable enough to repel racoons and other critters . So far this is one of my best buys on amazon yet at $50. Thanks

Nice Garbage Can!
I had a visitor a couple of weeks ago. We have lived in this house for almost 30 years and always had a open garbage bin in our car port. A couple of weeks ago I was taking our little dog out for his last toilet time. It was late at night. I opened the mudroom door to go into the carport, turned on the light and right away I noticed that something was moving around in the garbage. Then a little face peered over the top of the can, then disappeared. Before I could do anything our little friend came flying out of the garbage can practically straight at me. Didn't know rats could fly!! I bought this garbage can to secure the garbage and it has worked out perfectly. The price is up there but since it is working out fine I will live with that!

IT IS GRRRREEEEAAAT !
WOW ! So easy to assemble (10 minutes top!)! Very sleek and sturdy and not too high to set on the balcony. Love the way the inside cover is made so that it holds the bag easily without hassle or additional handling! It also has a 'bottom' part that helps holding everything together. You can lift the large top to extract the bag or use the small top lid for smaller disposal, it's great! Guess I'll have to buy another one for our recycling !
