Seems to be of good quality. Only time will tell. You need to keep the cover dried off after shower or it will begin to spot.

Fit 40 year old shower faucets

Fit like the originals but a bit pricy for a piece of plastic with chrome on it.

Very good solution

I had the older version of this that was plastic and scratched. These come with a rubber insert in the middle which is great. Just make sure you leave room around the valve so that it sits flat. I am not sure if they are made from metal, but I think they are. Looks good installed and the best solution I could find.
