Very good, see review for positives and a minor negative.

This item looks a lot better than I expected. I picked the chocolate brown color. The image supplied by the manufacturer gave me the impression that it may have a distressed leather look. Upon receipt, I found it did not and that was for the better. The color is a true chocolate brown. It doesn't have that cheesy fake leather look to it. It is padded all around. The tufting on the lid was done very well. The workmanship overall was very good except for a minor flaw on the inside. The lining appears that it covers the interior "sock like". It is not very tight on the inside corners. Maybe they didn't put enough glue there. This is not really an issue for me due to the fact that I will be placing blankets, etc. in it. I suspect that if you were putting items like toys, hardcover books etc in it, a sharp edge may cause the lining to rip where it is a little loose on the inside corners. This issue was not enough to return it. but I dropped one star in my rating due to it. The legs are even wood, not plastic as expected. The packaging was outstanding. It was double boxed in heavy cardboard and was protected with a fabric material. Shipping was fine and it was timely. It came with an instruction manual that had three ways to contact the manufacturer for any warrantee claims within the 1st year period. In this price range, this was the best choice. It is sturdy and is not collapsible like some others make it. I am a big guy and I would have no problem sitting on it to put shoes on, etc. It is perfect for a bedroom. Looks good and the size was perfect.

Beautiful, but smells terrible!

I purchased a 34-in in distressed gray from the Amazon warehouse. Unfortunately, I had not seen the three reviews from 2021 that mention a terrible smell. Now I know why it had been returned; it smelled like an animal died inside of it, and I'm not saying that with the slightest bit of humor. These other reviews mention how the inside smelled terrible and it made what they put inside smell the same, and I had the same experience. By airing it out for a few days and thoroughly spraying the inside (including the inside of the top) with bottled lemon juice (straight, undiluted) the smell is finally dissipating. On the plus side, it is a very sturdy piece, absolutely capable of holding heavy things, including a human being sitting on top. It's super easy to assemble, as all you need to do is screw on the four little legs and you're good to go. I feel terrible having to take off one star, but it's not fair to give a perfect score (former teacher here) due to that awful smell. Other than that, I am very pleased. I can't say whether or not I would purchase it again.

Really nice look & storage

This is great for throw blankets & neck pillows. Looks very nice in my living room. I was impressed with the quality. Has a slow close lid. My dog likes to lay on top & look out the window.

Pretty, Sturdy and Storage

I am a plus-sized retired woman. This storage ottoman is very sturdy - I sit on it all of the time. It looks built very well and acts like it to. I live in a 5th wheel so furniture that does double duty is a must. I'm very pleased with this ottoman. I also love the denim color.

Storage Bench

I bought this for our RV to put games in. Perfect size. The color matches perfectly to the color I chose for the RV kitchen! I wouldn’t recommend someone really heavy to sit on it though. It’s decent and acceptable quality so I hope it lasts a long while. If not, I’ll come back and update. So yes, I would recommend.

Lovely style and multi-functional

This is roomy, looks elegant and we use it as a foot rest when we are sitting in our tub chairs in front of the fireplace, but it's also a nice surface size and height to put out a place of snacks when we are entertaining. The upholstering on the lid also makes it a soft surface and our cats enjoy sleeping on it as well. I'm very pleased with this item. Multi-functional for us.

Great piece! Shipping was a few days behind though.

I love the storage bench! Color is just like on picture. I have a 34 inch in length of a spot and this bench fits perfectly. We use it to hide 3 backpacks in which don't have room in our small entry closet. Shipping was a few days behind though.
