Perfect fit!

Typical scotty quality. Perfect fit. Comes with one screw knob. Use the screw knob that’s already in your rod holder to put it together. Will definitely be buying more. I have one of the 259 extinctions but like these better. They are a little taller once put them together plus you can adjust the angle.

Not the 61/2” version

The description says its the 6 1/2” version. This is what Scotty calls the 9 1/2” version. Just so everyone knows the distance from pivot bolt to bolt is 9.5 inches.

This would be fine on a full-size boat

I bought this to use on my kayak for my forward center-mount holder. Mechanically, it is solid, but the rod holding end only allows for the rod to mount inline with the bracket. You can't turn it to point over the gunwale. This would be fine on a full-size boat, but I was hoping to use it to bring the rod closer to me on my kayak. While it does do that, the rod ends up pointing right towards me and not over the side. In hindsight this is obvious in the design so I can't really blame the product.

Good combo with Orca Rod Holder

I originally ordered the shorter extension with Scotty Orca Rod holder to be mounted on Scotty electric downrigger. I it wasn't long enough so this one worked perfectly.

Best investment for the sled so far

I have bought these for every rod holder in the boat. If you have a small or large boat this really helps you runs the max amount of rods possible. Scottys has been good to me and tough for being a composite. I have had a chinook pinning the rod so hard i could barley lift it out of the holder and no problems at all. once you have these you will take them with when go on your buddies boats.

Advertised at 12.7" NO it only measures 11"

It's too short to support the advertised 12.7" It shrunk 1.7" I paid more and got less.

Useful bit of kit

I needed a bit more reach on my kayak rod holders. These fit the bill perfectly. Well made an pretty ridged. I've got these on all of my rod holders now. They're great for raising the rods a bit higher and minimising the amount of drenching the reels get whilst paddling.
