Shade
Works very smooth, easy to install

Takes practice to use properly.
Not my idea of light blocking. Use cardboard between window and shade to block morning sun. Realize not the most expensive form and ha learned to make it work satisfactorily. Be sure of what you want .

Works well!
Yes, they are a bit pricey, but they do the job! Relatively easy to cut to size (Be careful! Don't make them too narrow! The adhesion isn't great. Yes, they will fall. EASY fix. Use a staple gun to keep the shade to the frame, and the frame of the shade to the window frame top. I've had some up for years! And, I'm buying more for my other windows.

Dummy proof install - need your own adhesive
Easy to install. The adhesive that comes with it is not very good. I used my own 3M adhesive tape and it holds up. I use it in my tuff shed office and raise and lower the blinds daily l. These aren't black out blinds if you are looking for that. I get directll sun noon til 5pm and these blinds keep it out and i can definitely feel the difference it makes temperature wise vs nothing at all. Overall, good product for the price and super easy 3 min install... just need your own adhesive tape to have it last long.

Some block light more than orhers
I ordered 7 light blocking pleated easy lift blinds. 3 of them block much mire light than the others. They all have a,plastic film on the back but the ones that Block more light have a thicker plastic coating. They don't match and it looks horrible. Thier is zero customer service with redishade. Other than a talking computer, they do not even have email or a phone number. I have rarely seen a company that just doesn't care like redi shade. These could be a great product but without any help or service of any kind it makes them second rate at best. All I can do is send these back and cross my fingers that by some miracle I get shades that match each other lol. I hope to find another company with a similar product that is willing to at least listen to a customer's email.

Buying them once again - Great price & convenient - BUT Pre-Measurements on blinds for cutting are OFF!!!
I've bought these exact shades over 4 years ago, and they worked pretty well for what I needed them for (my kids bedrooms). They kept the rooms pretty dark, although they weren't completed blacked out. A little light gets through on the sides (depending on how snug you make the shade fit the window and little drops of light get through the tiny holes where the cord runs through the shade (so that the shade can move up and down)... BUT, over all, these are very convenient shades and do a pretty good job. Half of them have held up well these past 4 yrs, but I recently had to replace 3 (of the 6) because my boys (now 9 and 11 yrs old) were a little too rough on them. They open and close them every day, so sometimes in a rush, they would pull/push too hard or squeeze the bottom too tightly. I bought them again because I feel for the price and convenience, they were worth it vs regular blinds that let in much more light. Two GOOD differences I noticed from the original ones I purchased and the ones I received last week... 1) the bottom (where you pull and push up the shade) is wider the whole way, instead of just the center, so hopefully, they will last longer. 2) These had end caps for the bottom, which my original ones didn't... so hoping that helps with it's stability a little too. ALSO - please note... when cutting your shades... the pre-measurements on the top, which are there for the convenience to size and cut your shade are OFF!!! They are off by a half an inch on each side!!! I like the shades snug to the inside of the window, decreasing the amount of light that gets through, so when I cut my 1st shade, it was too small for the window (too much light getting through). I've already submitted my exchange request through Amazon, so be sure to check the measurements if you want yours snug!

I like the shade a lot.
I love just pushing it up and it says. There are no strings the to try to keep balanced. The adhesive did not stick, but I put in some screws though the into the top of the wood and it works well.

Not so easy to cut
These blind are nice and block out light, but they cannot be cut with just a kitchen knife. We had to use a serrated saw to cut through the plastic then a kitchen knife to cut through the actual blinds. Don’t get me wrong, we will be buying more for other windows in our house, but they aren’t as easy to cut as advertised.

Good but a bit pricey
I needed a temporary black out blind solution as I've just had a baby and am in the process of moving home. I needed to create a darkened room to help my child nap- I normally just have a regular blind and like to wake up with natural light. It was easy to install, durable as it gets put up and down quite a bit! Only drawbacks are it's a bit pricey for what it is and not easy to get a smooth edge on the part you have to trim to fit. Also just be aware it's not completely black out as light shines through the holes where the string is attached. All that said, if your looking for a temporary solution - it's good, does the job and when it's folded up, it's very unobtrusive.

Easy to Install and easy on the wallet
After reading a lot of the reviews I decided these blinds would be best for our bathroom windows. The windows face South and we were looking for something that would provide privacy and also keep the heat out during the summer. We bought 3 blinds, they all fit the windows with out having to cut to adjust the size. Easy to install (you know which way to install the blind, as they pull part has more of a lip to ensure you have that facing you!). Simply pull off the adhering tape cover, press and stick. I was concerned with possible moisture causing them to not stick in place, but so far after 4 months they are perfect. If/when it comes where they do not still stick, I will use a few small screws. It is a nice feature that there is no cord hanging any where. Simple pull down, or push to bring them up. We love them!

Great value but complicated installation
It was not really all that easy to cut into these. I installed them in my baby's nursery when I was 9 months pregnant and it was exhausting but them again so was getting off the couch. I tried so many different knives and blades and even used my blade sharpener on my knife to attempt a smooth slice. They make it look so much easier. I was also strangely confused about the rulers on either side of the blind and I thought perhaps one cut would have sufficed rather than two (based on my difficulties with the 1 cut, I was mortified at the thought of cutting twice...) Once installed, these things block out a serious amount of light. We really didn't want our baby to have light in his room at naps and bedtime so we were wanting a borderline blackout (if not complete blackout blind.) These surprised and delighted us in that they really truly blocked out a good 80-85% of light... if not more. Once installed, they stuck, they pulled up and down, they blocked light and they looked completely decent for the price. We kind of want to do all the windows with them. They truly look way nicer than what you're imagining!

You can get better for less
These were more expensive and worse quality than the ones I got from Walmart. The paper looks cheap on them. However they do the trick and block the light. I prefer the non paper, light filtering ones from Walmart. You can’t cut them to size but they sell them in many standard sizes and the quality is so much better for significantly less money
