After a long search, the perfect rug for my bathroom

I have a century-old house with the original bathrooms. The main bath on the second floor is the perfect size in terms of how everything is organized, but that leaves me with a longish space that isn’t too wide. It’s very, very hard to find bathroom rugs that are 30”x50”. So many are small, which is fine for our powder room, but I’ve wanted a really nice rug that was easy to keep clean and stayed in place for a long time. The house is early 20th century - Art Decoish Tudor. The bathroom is tiled on the floor and as a wainscot a good 4 feet up the walls. The tile is creamy white as are the fixtures (all original). I wanted to capture the Art Deco feel, so I painted the walls and ceiling aqua with black and silver interlaced striping around the edge of the ceiling and the top of the walls (think old Fred Astaire movies). I originally had a beautiful dark chocolate rug with an aqua pattern in it. Eventually it died because my husband kept throwing it in the dryer so the rubber crumbled off. For the past 5 years or so, I’ve been using cotton rugs that are white with some aqua stripes, but they slip and move on the floor and the white gets dirty quick. A couple Christmases ago, I found a 30x50 rug with an aqua background, white snow, and a Christmas gnome on it. Needless to say, I snatched it up - in fact, I ordered two. I love these rugs. So, I decided to see if they had anything for everyday. And I found this one buy the same company! It’s perfect for my color scheme. It stays in place when you put it down. Plus it washes like a dream. Even better, I can vacuum it in between which extends the time between washes. I bought two of these, so I’ll always have one while the other is in the wash. In fact, I’ll probably buy one more, just to be sure I’ll have the rugs for a good long time (I hate rug hunting). When they came, they were folded and rolled in a heavy-weight plastic bag. The bag stood up to shipping just fine. I had no problem getting the rugs to lie down after opening them. The rubber off-gasses just a little for a couple of days, but then no smell at all. I roll them to store rugs not in use and keep them in a closet near the bathroom. They come out of the roll perfect with no curl. Mohawk Home is such a great line. The rugs are polyester made from 100% recycled materials - those soda bottles you put in your recycling bin as well as the plastic grocery bags you recycle at your grocery store. A great way to keep plastic out of the waste stream and have something beautiful for your home. I’m hooked!

You absolutely cannot wash these!!!!!

The rugs are very pretty and loved them until I washed them. What a huge mess they made in the washer. The back is full of bare spots although the front still looks the same. Am using them in the kitchen so needed to be able to wash them. Won’t do that again,
