Small, cute, slightly leaky

Ok, so our old one cup rice cooker had seen better days and was scratched up to all hell so it was time for a new one. This one looked cute and was priced right, so we took a gamble. It does cook rice well enough, but there's no valve in the lid's breathing hole, so it spits out water along with the steam, which then tends to leak out from the hole. This wouldn't be so bad in and of itself, except that the lid has a directional gasket and ours came installed upside down. Needless to say, this meant that the lid didn't seal properly and the first batch of rice we tried making resulted in the rice cooker sitting in a puddle of its own water once it was done. Flipping the gasket around and trying again, it didn't leak the next time (except from the breathing hole, which sputtered water out along with the steam). I have to retract a star for the gasket thing along with the leaky blowhole, but the latter issue is not a deal-breaker and the former is easily fixable. Solid B+ effort.

Works

But it's pretty slow. This one is nice because it has a removable bowl so it's easier to wash. The brand name will wipe off after a few uses. Can take a substantial amount of time to cook. Just using a single cup is best. I've done a cup of rice and then beans on top and it works but only holds half a can of beans. I cooked scrambled eggs in it once and it took like 1.5+ hours. Cord/socket can get warm. If you plan on using a lot it's best to just get an inverter and a small instant pot.

Perfect size for one person

I have extended family that live with me, but they all like Jasmine rice -- and I prefer CalRose. So this little rice cooker is just perfect for making one or two servings just for me. One thing to watch out for is that the instructions for preparing rice refers to "cups" -- what they really mean is the small "scoop" provided with the cooker. This scoop is about half (or less) than an actual cup measure, so two "cups" means two scoops! It took me a few tries to realize this. But now I can make a small amount of perfect rice in under 25 minutes. Good value!

Compact rice cooker!

Great rice cooker for 1-2 cups. I used for my international travel, and it is great to travel around. The rice cooker works excellent without leaking. I tried several rice cookers and this one work best for me.

Cute design

Very useful for me and my wife. For two people or three, you can’t go wrong to own one. There are improvements needed however. Perhaps condensate catcher and a scoop holder can be added on the next design. This little thing is very durable. We love it. Thanks!

rice porridge

it worked well but it didn’t make a sound when it was done so i give it a 4 star. it took around 45 mins to cook. i made rice porridge and rice with meat + eggs in this and it was good. i like it because you can just cook it and when you think it’s done you can just turn it back to warm. i recommend cleaning the pot before you use it because it has this like new product smell but i don’t mind it.

Great device, but no noise when done

This thing cooks rice perfectly! The only problem with it, is it makes no noise when it finishes -- you have to watch the light in order to know when it's done. That's a problem when you don't know how long it's going to run for before the light changes.

Easy and convenient overall

It’s perfect for a student like me because it saves a lot of time. I can just put everything in there and wait for it to finish cooking. It’s also tiny so it will be easy to pack and carry around. I can make simple easy meals with it and it tastes pretty good. There’s no timer or notifier when the rice is ready so I usually wait around 40 mins and open the lid to check. Overall I’m glad I got it and I like using it. It is also also easy to clean.

Great Little Rice Cooker

I bought this to replace my large rice cooker. I wanted something that could cook smaller amounts. This little gem is super small but it cooks a batch of rice perfectly and just enough for one or two people. It's simple to use and easy to clean.

Perfect rice everytime.

Bought for daughter, who loves rice. Perfect little size for one or two people. Rice turns out perfect. Take a long time to cook. About 45 min. Figuring out measurement for different kinds of rice is tricky. But the rice cooker will keep cooking as needed.

Very Efficient

I was dubious about buying a mini rice cooker but was pleasantly surprised. It's quiet, efficient and the resulting rice is amazing...I just love this little fellow! The directions are accurate and easy to follow making the rice perfect each time.
