The photos don't do it justice

I was pretty surprised when I got the wallet - I was expecting something a little sketchier than it actually is, just based on the photos on the Amazon listing. In reality, this is very sturdily made and high quality. I use this as a travel wallet - I hook it to a lanyard when I'm going through airport security so I can have quick access to my license, and then I hook it inside my backpack with a carabiner for the flight. Sometimes simple is the best solution, and this is the epitome of well-made simplicity. A great product at a great price point.

I keep coming back for more

This is my 3rd chums wallet. My most recent one had a zipper pop- but that is my fault because I tend to stuff my wallet full of everything pretty much. I don't remember why my first one died. These wallets last a really long time. My first was purchased in January 2019, my second in March of 2020, and my newest March 2023. I don't treat my wallets nicely either. They are attached to a carabiner that also has my keys, personal alarm, chapstick, and hand sanitizer on it. When I am going places, the carabiner is clipped to a belt loop and my wallet is shoved in my pocket. So there is lots of pulling and shoving taking place on the seams and attachments. They have all held up. In fact I think the only reason I am on my 3rd wallet is just zipper failure and that is because I treat my wallet like a purse and believe it is a bag of holding and can hold everything and anything. So really that isn't the design's fault- that is mine. Really, this is an amazing wallet. I can't say much about if it is waterproof because I've never gotten mine wet. It is built sturdy and is of excellent quality. Plus, can we mention the designs?! My first wallet was a simple black and blue I think. My second we had some neon pink and blue going. Oh my goodness this one has FLAMINGOS! I love it! I hope Chums will continue making new color combos and new designs. I'm sure I will be back in a few years purchasing another wallet after I stuff this one too full. Seriously, get one of these wallets, they are amazing.

My Go-To Wallet

I don’t know when I switched over to Chums Wallets, but I love them. This is the third one I have owned, and when this one breaks, I will buy another one. I love how slim the profile of this wallet is; it does not crowd my pocket. If I have noticed an issue in the three I have had, it is that the zipper is often what breaks first.

Great wallet and better customer service

I bought one of these wallets to use when traveling, and it was perfect.. Last week the ribbon with the keyring broke. I contacted Chums to check on how to use the warranty. They were super fast to respond and replaced my broken wallet in less than a week. The rep was fantastic and service was exceptional!

My thread wallet stretched out after a good amount of use. I wanted another one that was compact like that but I didn’t love that if I had cash, I’d have to worry about it falling out. Sometimes I’d have a receipt I had to hold onto or a coupon and those would get worn fast. The clasp that held it to the wristlet opened and dropped my wallet several times. I usually noticed but one night I didn’t and couldn’t find it anywhere until the snow from a storm melted three weeks later and it was in my gutter. I came across the chum wallet and I love that it is small for my cards, has an ID window and a zipper pocket for the cards and another one for coins, receipts, coupons, etc. it also has a key ring holder and outside pocket. I’ve even put my AirPods in the outside pocket. I wish they had more designs geared toward girls/women but I like the Aztec one I bought.

Loving this wallet

I bought this on a bit of a whim as I have found myself engrossed in my EDC items. I carry two phones, house keys, car keys, medications, cash and a traditional leather wallet. I started to realize I carry way to much stuff in my wallet and originally bought this to be an EDC item with ID, credit card, insurance card and ATM card. Surprisingly it holds 20 cards very easily and is easy to organize as well with three separate compartments. It is much smaller than a traditional wallet and zippers closed as well. Not sure about durability, but I am going to find out.

Perfect size

I have a similar style wallet in black and Grey. I wanted another one in a fun color scheme. This green and blue version is perfect. The size is slightly larger than my old style and I like this one better. Still fits great in my pocket and handy for travel or everyday if you don't need a ton of cards to carry.

Minimal, small yet sturdy and efficient

This wallet is amazing! Despite its small size, it can fit a surprising amount of cards and cash. What's even more impressive is how sturdy it is. Despite daily use, it still looks and feels like new. If you're in the market for a small wallet that can hold everything you need, this is the one to get.

Great little wallet.

What a fantastic wallet. Small, compact but holds loads, it's like a tardis! I have 5 cards, cash, plasters, gum, contact coins (skill toy) and a tooth pic and tweezers and there is still plenty of room. Easy to get cards in and out. Probably won't last forever but at the price they are I have no problem buying more, which I will be doing as they come in some great colours. Great service from Outdoor Supply Company USA too. Highly recommended.

Highly sought-after style of streamlined wallet.

I'd hesitate to call this a 'minimalist' wallet, since that has very definite implications of style these days, many of which are decidedly un-minimalist.... In particular, the large lumps of titanium and carbon fibre, forming a bulky cage for the three or four cards it can carry, with no consideration for anything else you might need. And yet, this Surfshort still has a smaller profile and footprint than most 'minimalist' wallets. Rather, I find the term streamlined better suited, as it holds a lot of stuff in a very small package. I bought this to replace a now-obsolete wallet of very similar design, as this was actually the only one with a divider in the card section and a separate pocket for loose coins. In this I can comfortably get about £300 in Twenties, 12 cards, a US Army Challenge Coin, a handful of receipts, a set of lockpicks, 20-30 pound coins and a few other little bits, while still having room for more stuff and not causing a massive bulge in a pocket. That's without even touching the outer slip pocket with the key ring on it. Incidentally, this works well as a key holder and/or an anchor point for a security chain. It's not really waterproof, but then most other wallets aren't, either. Splashproof, perhaps. But a very decent small wallet for a very decent price.

Best wallet

Purchased as I needed a nice compact and small wallet, and reading reviews online, this one came highly recommended. Perfect open ended side for driving license, and two zippers compartments for credit cards on one side and cash/coins on other side. Good sturdy buckle to it that can attach key rings or to keys. Good value and meets my requirements

15 grams, small, discreet. Love it.

Had this for a while. It's now my main wallet for Everyday Carry. It only weighs an ultralight 15 grams. I can fit about 6-7 cards in one side and a few notes and some coins in the other. The side with the cards has a clear plastic window so I put my nectar card in it so I can swipe it easily without taking the card out. So far the material has been holding up to everyday use but if the stitching ever gave up, i'd just but it again. Very happy with it.
