Handle Breaks off easily

They break at the hinged area where the metal was flattened to create the hinge point they creased it too much and caused to to crack. Should soften the transition from round to flat.

Does the job...

How awkward is it talking about having problems wiping? Well, it is and those cheap plastic helpers that break in no time are a total waste of money. If you, like me, have back problems or maybe it's a weight problem....this will really help. I was injured in an explosion years ago and there are times when you simply can't reach without enduring a lot of pain. This item makes it easier to get yourself clean; especially if you're a woman and CAN'T wipe from back to front without getting an infection. I recommend this to everyone, but especially to women who need to be clean, but don't want an infection from not being able to do the job correctly.

Almost Great

I have bulging disks in my back so I thought this item would be helpful. It is, somewhat, but there's an obvious design flaw. The grip is on the end, rather than the side, where it's needed to effectively hold the paper. If the inner curve of the gripping portion were bent to close tight like the end, it would be a lot more useful. I'm going to try "fixing" the problem with moldable plastic, but the manufacturer should correct this so purchasers don't need to.

Fits the need but quality isn’t as good

I used the same Item fov16 years when it finally indicated enough! New one works but after a few months the gray rubber is splitting.

Ordered this for a family member that had a surgery that limited their range of motion during recovery. Only complaint they had was the length other than that it helped them be independent during their recovery.

If you know what this is used for this will make sense if not oh well, This is labeled as short but is longer than my original short holder but is sturdy enough. I looked at many alternatives but could not really see how they improved on this old standby.

These are not the white handled larger loop ones in the picture.

Since I had bought a pair of these white handled ones before, I thought I'd give it a try and see if they were still the larger, more user-friendly ones. Unfortunately, what arrived are the grey, new smaller loop/end (which are extremely uncomfortable to use) kind. I'm sure that approximately 1" of metal removed from each handle and the business-end of the tool save the manufacturer a bundle in production cost, but they make the tool extremly unpleasant for the end user, so I will be throwing these in the recycyling bin along with all the other recently purchased versions of this tool and looking for some other source. Maybe they still make them bigger for kitchen use. Who knows?

I use the tongs as a reacher or grabber as i cannot bend real low. It attaches to my walker. Very handy.
