Pet Gear products are so well made…

I purchased two sling-type carriers and the Pet Gear quality is just so obviously superior that I did not even try putting Sissy in the other one. I am sending it back. I had an extra-large wheeled carrier by Pet Gear that I hauled all over the United States for about 15 years with two kitties inside (my brother-in-law constructed a little shelf which I covered in yoga mat to make it a double-decker carrier) and when Miss Millie died, aged 19 and 5 months, I donated it to the humane society in Indianapolis. I swear that carrier practically looked new. Pet Gear builds stuff to last. Had I known I would end up with cats, or dogs, again, I would have kept it. As it is, I bought a new one in a different color. Back to the sling: Two complaints. I am 5 feet tall and I had to shorten the strap as far as it would go which infringes on some of the padding. It’s hard to describe so I will include a picture. I may cut that padding off later, but I want to use it for a while before I start altering things. Also, there is a ring inside to secure your pet and I wish it was a clip instead, but that’s an easy fix. Sissy is a long, muscular cat, but there is plenty of room to place a nice padded bathmat spayed with pheromones in the bag with her. The bag already has a really nice silky quilted lining and removable, washable pad. Even with that, an extra pad, and the cat, the bag is small enough to not be burdensome and unwieldy, which is what I was looking for. Really well designed and great quality construction.

Nice bag

This bag is cute and seems like it will work well for our pup. The fabric is not canvas (which I assumed from the photo) but a plastic canvas look-alike, which I think is probably good for a dog bag. My only complaint is that I purchased a bag that was “used- good condition” and the description was that it had been “repackaged.” However, when the bag arrived there is damage to the actual bag. The spot is small and won’t affect the function of the bag (at least not for a while) but cosmetically it isn’t very nice. I understand that I paid less for this bag, but I might have chosen to pay more for a new bag if I knew the actual bag would have damage. Otherwise, I would have given this product 5 stars.

Great purchase! Highly recommend for your toy breed pup!

Super cute pet carrier tote, and a good price also! Lightweight and well made. I did stuff it with towels before actually taking my pup out in it to help stretch it (it is stuffed with towels in my photos) the way it is packaged for shipping really flattens the tote causing the walls to cave in a bit on your pet if you put them in it immediately after unboxing it. Also really like the mesh zippered top and mesh panel, still discreet, but makes me feel safer than having my pup in an open bag. Not a lot of options out there offering a zippered top so I was very pleased to find this bag. The only potential negative I will say is that is doesn’t really have a pocket for anything. There is one small pocket on the zipper top, but it really won’t hold much, maybe a small toy. I was able to attach a poop bag keychain so I will be able to easily carry those with me when we are out. Overall very happy with this carrier. My pup is a 2.7lb Pomeranian and it fits him perfectly with some room to grow into.

Best pup tote!

I have four different pup carriers/ totes and this one is my favorite. My guy is 6lbs, 11" long and he loves this bag. I do have a larger one for heavy travel but for running to the store this one is by far the best. It doesn't look like a pretty carrier at all. Very easy to concile carry your pup while still keeping them comfy. The canvas is breathable and soft. The arm length of the shoulder carry is perfect. If it was a long travel day I would suggest going with something a little more roomy for their comfort.

YORKIE on the GO!

Love this bag! Comfy and sturdy for a day on the go with my yorkie. Its discreet for when you need to run in and out of no pet zones (shhh...hehe) I love the casual look - not an obvious doggie bag or fashion purse. The bag has lower/upper ventilation, sturdy bottom and straps. Good quality material and stitching. I love the U-shaped zipper but its hard to zip close.

worked out for me

This item definitely has its pros and cons but worked out for me. My pup has two bags- this one for quick errands and another much nicer (bigger, padded) one for air travel and when he comes with me to work. This is perfect for short periods of time- i keep it in my car for when I need to make a quick errand- but I wouldn't keep my pup in there for long periods of time since I don't think its that comfortable for him. It is small compared to other dog carriers, but it's actually exactly what I wanted in terms of size... my dog is only 4 lbs though. Also, it's not designed so he can pop his head out which is a pro for me but may be a con for you. Lastly, it's not padded - it has a hard bottom so I put a baby blanket in there so make it a bit more comfortable.

Perfect for an excited puppy!

I love this bag!! It’s so perfect for my miniature dachshund puppy, he also loves it! He’s never been a fan of bags with the head hole because he just wants to jump out every time he’s in it. The mesh allows him to see what’s going on but feel safe and contained. The straps also stay sturdy on my arm while I’m carrying him so I don’t have to continuously hike it up. My only fear is he’s going to grow out of it, I love it so much!

Ok so far- not the best material or structure but for a small puppy will work- we are adopting a small puppy next week but since we don’t know how big she’ll be when grown I’m not investing $160 in the leather and canvas carrier- also like that this has a zip top instead of completely open scoop so she can jump out. Cell phone pocket would fit and old bar phone but not anything like an iPhone or similar size. May hold small keys or something similar. Bought to take my dog to work while she’s potty training. Bought a scarf to further conceal it’s a dog carrier hopefully too many people won’t notice.
