It is hooked to boat and trailer . So far good. Easy to install

Great product. Make sure it's threaded correctly!

Some are complaining that this strap does stay tight, but that's probably because it is threaded wrong. Mine was too. Check out the helpful review with the photo that shows the proper threading. Once you get that squared away, run the end of the strap with the white tag on it around your trailer tongue and then pass the end with the hook on it through the loop by the tag. Then you attach the hook to your bow eye and use the second strap with a looped end to pull the strap tight before you close the latch. It definitely holds tight as long as it's threaded properly.

Own a lot of Boat Buckle stoff

I own a lot of Boat Buckle brand stuff and am happy with all of it except this strap. It’s hard to get it tight and doesn’t always stay latched. I don’t have confidence in this product like I do their others. I bought a second one for the Wave Runner thinking maybe I damaged the one on the boat but it has the same challenges.

An extra level of certainty!

Never used one before, but that doesn’t mean the winch hook can’t be loose for some reason.

May need to be re-threaded

I ordered 2 of these bow tie downs: 1 worked well and the other would not get very tight, as was mentioned in other reviews. I noticed that the tie downs I had were each threaded differently. So, I re-threaded the straps on the one and now it works great like the other! The picture shows how the strap should be threaded.

Description is a little misleading

This is a decent product for what it is, a bow tie-down for a very small or light boat or jetski. This bow tie-down is not for larger or heavy boats. I have a 17.5 foot boat and this tie-down is way too light weight to actually provide a safe bow tie-down. I guess I should have understood the description better, but the tie-down is really not suitable for most boats.

I really love this thing

A bit cumbersome to use off the bat. Limited in its uses. Definitely not strong enough for a large boat, but effective enough for a PWC or rowboat. Alternate/cool trick: Decided to use it to hold the transom of my outboard motor. Loop end around the prop and S-hook underneath the trailer...now, I really love this thing.

Easy and effective

En seguridad nada está de sobra, para embarcaciones ligeras muy bien, en mi caso es un bass boat de aluminio de 16 pies, muy practico
