Easy Assembly!

This is the third deck box I’ve purchased from this company. I also have 2 of the 120 gallon boxes on my patio and decided to go with the 100 gallon “wicker” style box for the deck area. This was a much faster setup than the 120 gallon version. My husband and I together might have taken 7 minutes to assemble. The shipping was super fast too! I expect it to have the same waterproofing as the other 120 gallon version that has stayed completely dry through several bad thunderstorms since we purchased them a week ago. If the 100 gallon “wicker” box doesn’t stay dry like the others,I will update my review.

Easy To Use Lock

Assembly was a breeze without tools. Literally took 3 minutes. I had a packaged delivered the day after i put it outside and was worried the driver wouldn't be able to figure out the lock so i purposely stayed home to observe. I then got busy with other chores but my smart speaker told me a package had been delivered... i couldn't find it anywhere so i thought the worst. Then i remembered the box and checked it. YES! The driver had easily figured out the lock and placed my package safely inside and out of the weather and the lock was locked again too. I am over the moon happy about this and very thankful i chose to buy this box. Thanks so much!!

EAST OAK DECK BOX - 31 Gallon size

This box was received on time and was easy to assemble once I realized I had part D backwards. After that revelation, I was done building it in less than 10 minutes. I weigh about 178 lbs and when I sat on it it didn’t even buckle. I won’t make a habit of that since the weight limit is 170 lbs. It’s maiofor that grandkids’ toys and a seat if needed. It rained last night and everything inside was dry. I would recommend this deck box. Also it matches our patio furniture well.

Good product, but I had a problem with assembly.

The East Oak large deck box came together exactly as the instructions indicated, with one exception. That exception was the hinges on the lid. There are three of these hinges and the way the product is designed, you have to force them into place. As they're a rigid plastic, this is not so easy. In any case, I got two in and broke the third. So, while I like the product, I was a bit frustrated. The deck box is now together, and the hydraulic metal assemblies that fit right and left function well, but still, the lid should be held in place by three hinges, not two. I think East Oak should address this in the future, especially as security of outside storage is an ever present issue.

Nice box for the price

The first of these I received had faulty plastics and one of the tabs broke off. Amazon, with its usual excellent customer service, sent me a replacement and it has worked out great. I was able to assemble the box in less than five minutes, but I would recommend giving yourself some space to work so you can lay out the panels as described in the instructions. I am using it as a package box on my front porch, since the deck above leaks water and there is nowhere dry for a carrier to leave a package. The box is very lightweight, so I put a single concrete paver inside to weigh it down so it does not shift during strong winds. So far, it has kept all of my packages clean and dry and I am happy with my purchase.

So easy...

It's so easy even an old fart (75) like me can put it together. Had a little difficulty initially attaching bottom to the sides, until I realized I was placing the wrong tab in the wrong slot. Once I determined it was a user error, things went very smoothly. I didn't even need my rubber mallet to get things to snap into place. It's ideal for holding patio furniture covers. I'll be ordering more for the garage and potting shed.

Spacious, quality, easy assembly

My title says it all! Very easy to put together. The bottom piece confused me for a few minutes because the smooth side goes on the inside (which I contrary to all the other pieces) but this of course makes sense that you want the bottom to be smooth so your items can be sturdy. Took me 5 minutes to snap everything together. Make sure you snap things all the way into their slots otherwise you’ll have a wobbly box. Spacious and looks nice. Exactly what I needed.

Would definitely buy again

This was so easy to put together and without any tools needed! It was also very sturdy. I am using it to store pesticides or fertilizers to lock away from little hands. It has a lot more room than I expected. A very good buy for me.
