It’s a keeper for me

Very capable for home use. I had to open up a section of my bathroom floor to get at the framing and plumbing. It cut through tile, concrete board, 3/4” plywood and 2x4 very adequately. It’s a keeper for me. If you’re on the fence just jump in.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. DEAD IN 4 MONTHS

I bought this in March for boyfriend and it’s august and it’s already dead and unusable. He has used it probably ten times since he’s had it and now it just randomly stopped working while he was on a job. If you’re looking for a product that’s completely unreliable and will break in 4-5 months, here’s your product.

Corded Craftsman Oscillating Multitool Kit with Carry Bag

I received this product in exchange for my honest review as part of the Amazon Vine Program. Seller the Craftsman Store lists this as "CRAFTSMAN Oscillating Tool Kit, 3-Amp, 14-Pieces (CMEW400)". Picture 1 shows what I received which includes a zippered carry bag, the tool, a sanding pad holder and 3 blades with a 10 piece selection of sand paper in 3 grits to fit the hook and loop pad. I can use this oscillating multitool for making plunge cuts in wood or plasterboard which is really convenient. It will also sand tight spots hard to reach with an orbital round sander. It is easy to hold and handle during use for me. This was effective cutting a piece of baseboard molding. I did find the blade mounting system somewhat awkward to use. The lever seen in Picture 2 must be firmly pressed to slide in a blade (See Pictures 3 & 4). The spring is quite strong that I must depress. I found that I had to brace the back of the tool against a firm surface to push hard enough to slide in a blade. This is doable if I squeeze real hard one handed; perhaps with a stronger grip others might find it easy. I loved that this will accept almost all common oscillating multitool blades on the market. Great! This tool also is variable speed (10,000 to 22,000 oscillations per minute) with a rotating dial to select a speed at the about 80 inches long cord end. This is a useful feature for doing precision cuts where a slower speed might be best. This tool also has a hanging loop built in near the cord end. This Craftsman Oscillating Multitool has plenty of power. For a tool of this kind I prefer a plug in corded tool rather than battery powered cordless. This corded tool is more agile, smaller and more powerful. I recommend that for cutting nail embedded wood that one buy the best quality bimetal titanium coated blades available for longer blade life and better tool results. I Highly Recommend this CRAFTSMAN Oscillating Tool Kit!
