Very bright. I like this light a lot.

I bought this light several months ago as the days got shorter here in the northeast, and I started to ride more in the dark. My typical ride takes me on bike paths and a few busy roadways. I found the light very bright and I really like the side laser lights, especially when I'm on the road (cars give me a pretty wider berth when I'm riding). I didn't think the laser lights did much until my wife saw me riding away from the house and commented how well she could see them. The mounting strap feels really heavy-duty. The drawbacks were few. There are two top buttons; one to control the rear light and the other for the side laser lights. It took a little bit to figure out how they worked. The bottom rubber plug that covers the USB port also sometimes slips out, but it's attached to the light so it can't get lost. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this light. Great value for the money.

Best laser lines taillight so far; can be attached to rack with bracket from NiteRider

My local bike shop had the rack bracket to put this on the rear of my rack, which means that NiteRider has it. Looks like it's on Amazon now, as a separate part that you can order. I did twist a flat hair scunchie around the middle of the light and the back of the mounting clip behind it, just to be absolutely sure that it won't pop out when I hit bumps. It doesn't block the light. I bought an adapter (less than $5) to charge the light at the outlet next to my bike in the garage. (USB cable is included.) This is the best bike path taillight currently available, much better made than the other THREE that I've tried. I like the fast-flashing bike lane mode with the slow-flashing rear LED. Cars move over about four feet, so obviously, they see it. Based on the warning from another buyer about the charging port stopper popping out and letting in water, I take half a plastic band-aid, cut in half lengthwise, and stick it over the stopper (two skinny strips) each time after I charge the taillight once per week or so. This should solve the problem of the stopper falling out. It's a minor annoyance, but worth it for the peace of mind.

Great light but get the Sentinel 250

Have had this for 4 years. NiteRider now sells the Sentinel 250 which is brighter so I recommend getting that one.

The rear flasher is nice and bright and for that reason I like it ...

This is a quality tail light. The rear flasher is nice and bright and for that reason I like it - and WOULD have given it 4 stars. I take one away and settle at 3 stars because it has a fatal flaw - the charge port is located at the BOTTOM of the light housing and is secured by a rubber stopper that will frequently dislodge as you ride. If you EVER ride through wet areas (as I have) with the rubber stopper loose - water gets thrown right up into the housing. This was a MAJOR design error and could/should have had a better closure or one located ANYWHERE else! Because of water entry into the housing - the laser guide on the left side is now wrecked and only the right side works as it should. This doesn't really impact my use - I mostly rely on the rear flashers - which as I said are great - but the laser guides I thought would be extra insurance (and cool). Don't count on the laser guides to keep working if you ride when it is wet outside.

This thing is bright and the laser lines are pretty wild.

Very cool light. Super bright and the laser lines are highly visible. I was so lit up, I felt a little dorky when riding through an area with a lot of pedestrians shopping. I then rode across a street to get on to a bike path and construction crews had it blocked off, so I had to ride across a bridge into DC with cars while it was dark out. At that point, dork be damned, I was very happy I had purchased this light.

Awesome rear light and the lazers are sweet

Awesome rear light and the lazers are sweet. Very useful in New York City traffic. yes even at night there's traffic here. The light is well built only con is the soft material they use where you clasp the light on its mount, it's soft plastic and if you hit a big enough bump it'll come out. I lost my first one but was so impressed I bought two more. I used a small 4" wire tie and it works super to keep the clips together.

Good light.. needs better mount

Good light. Though with all the different LEDs there could be more configurations. The light is bright.. the weakness is the rubber strap, not the strap itself but the little screw that adjusts its angel. It comes loose often which means the light tits downwards and not directly behind me towards cars etc

Right side Laser line went out after first ride of only 20 miles

I am a loyal consumer of Nite Rider Products. However, this item has some issues. First let me state that the main light itself is GREAT! The sequencing and the brightness of the main light is one of the best that I have ever used. I was tempted to keep the light just for the main light source. However, just like several other reviews stated, one of the laser lane lights would stop working after very little use. I decided to return the unit and contact Nite rider in the next few days to see if they are aware of this issue, and the many other reviews on Amazon concerning this issue. In the past, Nite Rider has been GREAT in the Customer Service department and handled any issues with their products in a very prompt and professional matter. At the reduced price on Amazon, I will be ordering the light again just for the main light source. It was still cheaper than any other quality light unit out there. Also, I am certain that Nite Rider would have taken care of the issue for me if Amazon would not have accepted my return. So, at the end of the review, Yes I would buy it again. The main light source is that good. And yes, be aware of this potential issue with the reported laser lane failures..
