My skin is smoother in the morning - no sensitivity issue so far

My skin can be a serious PITA. Dark spots, dark circles .. and extreme sensitivity that creeps up out of nowhere. I can use a product for months or years, and all of a sudden .. BOOM! .. redness/irritation. For the past 4 months I've dealt with issues, and for the last month on super-basic wash/lotion, I've been able to get my irritation under control, but if I switch out my eye cream to a non-sensitive skin one, I get instant irritation overnight. So for this Fruit Acid cream I was very careful. I've used liquid toner-like fruit acids in the past with no issue, other than the usual tingling/burning that lasts a minute or two as the stuff dries. This cream is similar - you can feel little skin burns in certain areas, but it goes away after a minute or two. I love the thickness of the cream - as it is very moisturizing and I don't have to use a night cream following my skin acid since this combines them together in the same treatment. My skin feels nice and smooth in the morning after using this. I've stuck to a twice per week only protocol of use - so I haven't seen any effectiveness with my dark spots, but I'm just happy to find something my skin is happy to accept that isn't a basic moisturizer at the point, so I'm going to use it this way until the jar is gone to see long term benefits.

Good “Gentle” Acid Cream

I use glycolic acid nearly every day in a cleanser so my sometimes sensitive skin had no problem with this product. I only use this at night & that seems to be enough. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now & it does make my skin turn over/exfoliate, revealing fresh skin. The cream doesn’t stink, absorbs easily & I forget I’m wearing it – just a little tingle when applied. If you’ve never used acids on your skin before, I would start slow. Maybe 1 time per day, every other day to see how your skin reacts.

Not So Good For This 60+ Gal's Ruddy Irish Complexion: Make My Face More Red/Flushed

This product does not happen to work well for me and my ruddy Irish complexion. I'm a bit shy of my middle 60's and have a face that gets flushed looking at any excuse. I get this from my father's side of my family where they all have this issue. I thought this exfoliate cream might reduce some of the wrinkles and inevitable wear of aging. I wasn't expecting miracles. It stung a little going on and I took that as a sign it was working. I wasn't expecting a miracle. I'm sure for many people it will work fine. What I found is I my complexion became more prone to flushing after use. This was to the point my friends began to comment on how flushed I looked. I'm not talking a healthy glow here. If you have ruddy Irish/English skin you might want to experiment this on a stay home day. I think it was a good try and confirmed my thoughts fearing acid creams, at least for me. Because I have skin that is very sensitive to irritation I'm still giving this exfoliate cream 3 stars. I have a strong sense this issue here is more my skin than the product itself.

Worked, but a bit rough on my sensitive skin

This works pretty well, but not great on my sensitive skin. It has a pleasant scent and absorbs well into my skin. It did make me a little pink after a few days of use. It did make my skin smoother and after about 10 days it seemed to reduce the appearance of the wrinkles near my eyes.

Doesn't bother my sensitive skin

I have dry, sensitive skin and I'm near 60 years old. I've had no issues with this cream although I'm starting out slow with it using it only at night. No burning, no itching, no redness even though my skin's very sensitive. Maybe I have no issues due to the fact I've been derma-rolling my face for 2-3 years. It's a nice cream, no fragrance, not greasy or sticky, and soaks in fast. Be sure you always wear a sunscreen while using these types of products as it makes your face very prone to burning.

Perfect Night Cream To Compliment My Acid Peels

If you are not used to acid peels and have sensitive skin, you probably want to patch test this before full use. I have been doing peels for years. I actually do a 40% mandelic peel 1-2 times per week so my skin issued to acids. I find this as a nice night cream to help keep my skin smooth, wrinkle free and even toned. I use a little bit to cover my face and then another little dab for my neck and decollete. Any remnants I rub in to my hands. There is barely any smell and it is not greasy. It absorbs immediately in to my skin and does not sit on my skin at all. 10% is very low. Most peels start at 15% so this is a nice lightweight night treatment to use in between peels.

minimal irritation for sensitive skin

I usually avoid fruit acid face products because they irritate my sensitive and reactive skin, but I've been using this once a day at night for the past month with minimal irritation. The first day or two I had no irritation, followed by a week or two of mild stinging that was resolved by the time I woke up, and now my skin seems to have acclimated to the product. In terms of effects, I'd say my skin does look a bit brighter and more even overall. The avocado and soybean oils prevent excessive drying without making my skin look or feel oily. Perhaps the results would be more dramatic if I used the produce twice daily as recommended, which I may start now that the stinging is gone. Overall this is a good product for the price and I'd be interested in trying some of the brands other treatments.
