Very fun and cool looking game

The gameplay: This is definitely a fun game that you can pick up after a round or two of the game. I've played it with family that prefer more classic board games and they really enjoy this. There's more strategy to it than you may think, but it's not overly complex, a good middle ground. Great for a family game night. The quality: The pieces in this game feel really nice and high quality. The cards have a nice feel and are pretty sturdy. The game pieces or "relics" are actually a softer material and not a hard plastic which is really nice. Though the red relic seems to stick a little in the spaces, not enough to make it unplayable, but just enough to be a little annoying sometimes. The dice have nice clear labels and a fun shape. The board itself is hollowed out on the bottom so it isn't super heavy, but the plastic is still thick and sturdy so it isn't going to dent or break any time soon. I got this on sale for an absolute steal, but it's definitely good enough quality to be worth it's full price. Plus the artwork looks super awesome, and the box looks great on my board game shelf.

Easy to learn, fun to play, with great depth

I love this game. I played it at my friends’ house and liked it so much I bought my own version. The games are nice and short so you can have a few back to back rounds and not burn your whole day. It’s also easy to learn but there’s enough depth that you can keep playing it and it doesn’t get boring. The game has great balance and it allows for really fun strategies. You can team up against your friends, go it solo, etc. It’s obvious that the designer really put a lot of thought into making sure that the game really fit together well - the timing, strategy, balance, and progression. Most importantly the game is just fun. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a fun board game that you can play a few games any time you want without tons of set up and a huge learning curve. Less importantly but something that I noticed was that the board and pieces were really nice and pretty.

AMAZING FUN!

What I love about this game is that it is universally FUN! Layers of strategy allow beginners to be successful while building strategic tactics. What is really cool, is that there are multiple ways to win! The other thing I love is the FEEL of the game pieces. The board is designed to hold the pieces in place until you manage to stay clear of the lava and store your trophies in the "storage" area. Great game for multiple age levels from 5 to 81! It is a game we never tire of playing! If I could, I would give it 25 stars!

Played at PAX and Immediately Purchased

Attended PAX unplugged and joined a game of this! Afterwards I bought it off amazon immediately. Temple Raider definitely feels like it's going to be in our regular rotation for game night. The game takes a moment to get up to speed, but once everyone is up to speed, it's surprisingly addicting. What I loved most of all was what I got for $20 (current amazon price) really felt quality compared to what I'm used to with games in that price range.

Was a hit

Board games are really hit or miss but saw this on a slickdeal. Gameplay is easy to pickup, basically a page of rules to understand. Good math skills and there is some advanced strategy involved. Overall a lot of fun. Games are usually very close and balanced.

First off, there is some mistake on amazon so the reviews are not for this product. If you are seeing a car part, that is just a mistake in Amazon! This is a fantastic game, that is mid-level strategy that is fun for the whole family. Temple Raider is simple enough that non-gamers will enjoy it, but strategic enough that is will engage gamers with a high repeat play value.

Perfect Christmas gift for kids and adults.

Love this game! The QR code links to a video explanation of the rules which I found helpful. It is a fast moving game and we enjoyed an evening playing several games. I have purchased several to give as gifts this season.

Temple of Random

Not a great game, not a trustworthy game company. One of the cards had some manufacturing defect (a wrinkle of the anti-glare adhesive applied to the card face) which causes the edges of the plastic film to peel up from the card. I sent email to consumers at Jakks for customer service by clicking the email link on their website, only to get a response 2 days later that the email is undeliverable to that address (status code: 550 5.1.10 unknown address). So, I try calling their customer service phone number only to get a message saying their voice mail is not configure with a greeting message. I'm not going to bother with this any further, just return to Amazon.
