Easy to install but tip feels loose.

I used this for a cane. It's easy to install but the threads that hold the metal tip feel loose. I'm concerned that the tip will come off without me realizing it. The rubber tip is flimsy at best, but I may not be installing it correctly. If I am then it's pretty useless.

A rude ice spike

I had this installed on one of my Brazos walking sticks. It is very sturdy and sticks in the ice great.

Cheaper from the original manufacturer

Note that you can obtain this item for just 20 bucks plus 8 bucks shipping from the Lee Valley web site, instead of from Brazos. Otherwise this looks like a great item.
