Cheap plastic, but it works

I'd have been very unhappy with this lantern if I'd paid $25 for it. Lucky for me there was one for only $10, with some minor damage. After a lot of searching on Amazon, I only read the overview, which read "Material Type silver," leading me to think it was metal. It does state twice in the description it's plastic, but I didn't see that. I also went by the photos, so thought the color of the light would be a warm white, not amber. The design is aesthetically pleasing, which is why I got it. The faux candle works as promised. What I assume are supposed to be wax drippings on the candle were broken off, so they're not put on very well, but this is why I got it for $10, so I'm fine with that. The light from it isn't very bright, so if that's what you want, and a well made solar lantern, don't get this one.

I liked the whole design of the lamp. It added a soft light to my rose bed.

Comically Large, Low Light Output, Poor Value

I picked this up for the paltry sum of $13, but saw its counterpart for $30, and see that its regular price is $30. I definitely wouldn't pay that much for this. As a $13 product, I find it acceptable, but somewhat comically oversized and very low light output. As a $30 product, I would probably have asked for my money back. It doesn't generate enough light to be useful, just a small decorative flicker. I have one that puts out more light in the back yard that's a more standard size and cost about $5.

poor quality

The silver paint job on this item was already scraped up upon arrival and got easily banged up more by me even extra carefully trying to hang it. Also, the amount of light it gives off is barely even visible. Really disappointing.

DEFECTIVE

The product came with only one battery and was not a finished put-together product with the parts to add the other batteries to make it turn on. It does not work without being able to insert batteries, and the battery area is not put-together with metal pieces for batteries. This product is completely defective and useless. Very upset that they sent an incomplete product. Throwing away. Oh well.
