Garlic press doesn't work

The garlic press doesn't work. My old aluminum one is much better. The peeling tube works pretty well and not sure if the stainless 'soap' works. Overall, the kit is not worth the money.

After using this for months. It's just not that great

7/9/2022 - After using this for months and months, it just doesn't work well, I love garlic, I use it a lot and it never fully gets all the garlic out of the pods, I end up having to stick a knife in there to finish the job. I'm done. I will get a metal garlic press like I had before. I am disappointed Farberware. I have been using this for several days and I can tell you 3 things for sure. 1. The little tunnel to break the garlic skin for peeling is awesome. 2. The little metal "soap bar" works, I rubbed my garlicky fingers against it with running water and the garlic smell disappeared almost completely, 95% maybe? I can still smell a trace but barely... 3. The press is precarious... by that I mean, I am not sure it will not break. Every time I put a clove in it and press, first not much garlic comes out, then when I press harder the handles feel like they are bending and are going to break. Update will come once I figure out if the press will last. I use garlic a lot and that shouldn't take long.

The Press Isn't Great

In this set, two pieces are good. The silver bar and the silicone tube are excellent. The bar gets garlic and onion smells off your hands. Just wash you hands with the bar. The tube is great for peeling garlic. Pop a clove in, roll it on the counter, and then just pour the garlic out. It is also easy to clean. The press, well, I'm not a fan. The plastic just isn't strong enough to really press the garlic firmly. The cover also gets in the way. I'm not a fan of that part of the set.

It works okay

I have never owned a garlic press before, so I don't know if this is normal for a garlic press, but whenever I press the garlic it only presses out half of the garlic and half of it is left inside the press. The garlic peeler is awesome, so easy to use easy to clean. The rub a way bar works pretty good, I decided to try washing my hands with that and only that after chopping garlic to see how well it worked. I'd say that 75% of the garlic smell was gone, you could still faintly smell it but the smell was greatly reduced

Good quality, missing parts

The set we received didn't come with the garlic press, just the silicone tube and the stainless steel "soap." The silicone tube is better quality than most of the ones I've had, so I'm hoping it doesn't shred as quickly as they did. The "soap" is a joke. Literally any piece of stainless steel will do what this claims to do. Rub your hands on a piece of silverware. It looks nice though. Well built. just useless. I'm not giving one star, because everything I got was good quality.

Delight to use and would be perfect for a gift

This 3 items set is very cute. I can imagine order some of these for gift. I like the color for this set. The red material are a rubber for the garlic peeler, the garlic press is a hard plastic. (I thought the garlic pressed is having the same material as the garlic peeler when I ordered) I like that the garlic pressed have the cleaner side to pushed the garlic out after use, but I also wish that this part is removable as it get in a way a bit when use. Overall it is a delightful items to have in the kitchen.

Great Garlic Mincer!

This garlic press has a great little cleaning device built in. You can push out the stuck garlic easily. I love the garlic skin removing tool and the wash away bar to get the garlic scent off your hands. This is a great set! It would be a fabulous gift. I'd recommend it for your college kids too!

Great Garlic tools

These are great garlic tools. I especially like the garlic peeler. It saves me so much time and money since I no longer feel the need to buy the propelled garlic since it is now so easy to peel whole cloves. The press works great as well. The rub away bar is just and added bonus to help remove garlic smell from hands.
