A pleasure to use

I have been playing with Rubik's cubes for a number of decades. (I don't want to think about how many). I had to cheat and buy a book to learn solve the cube and still use the techniques, but I have refined them so that I can explain them using a more intuitive / visual way. I use them as a fiddle for example when I am listing to a boring conference call and can still pay attention to the call. Or just at odd times. The original Rubik's brand cubes were OK and the imitation cubes were mostly sticky and hard to use. Now many of the quality imitation cubes are pretty good, but I like the Rubik's brand speed cubes better. One reason for that is that different brands tend to have different colors or the colors are arranged differently. I bought 2 of the original Rubik's speed cubes 5 or so years. They were/are excellent in the way they move. The newer magnetic speed cubes (I have 4 now) move in about the same easy, controlled way, but the addition of the magnetic feature (where the cube provides tactile feedback when the face you are moving is properly aligned) is even better. With the 6 cubes I like to mix them all up then solve them sequentially or in parallel.

It's a nice cube.

Pros: Easy to turn No stickers It's fast Really nice box Cons: I didn't get what I ordered. The description said that it was a magnetic version, but what I got definitely has no magnets. I'm going to keep it, because the fit and finish are nice, and it will suffice for my needs at the moment. Overall, it's a good cube for starting out and learning the solution. Taking one star off for not getting what I ordered.

Upgrade on my 80's cube

Very much what you would expect. Good for a novice who intermediate cuber. I cannot speak to its use as a speed cuber (maybe one day!). Has proven to be smooth, and durable, and very good value for money.

A definite improvement over the base model

This is definitely an improvement over the current base model/original. The magnets are an improvement, the glide is smoother, and the corners are slightly rounded to bind a little less. Compared to higher end cubes like the Gan, it isn't as quiet or as smooth, but it's also a lot cheaper. Plus, it's stickerless without having solid faces, which is a plus for me. All in all, a reasonable cube. If you have several, it probably won't be your favourite, but I were to be only buying one cube and didn't want to spend a lot, this would probalby be the one. Minor note: The green face on mine was way overtightened, out of the box. I had to pop the center cap and loosen the screw for it to not bind on every turn.

Smooth Moving Cube - Tactile and Addictive

I used to have one of these years ago, and loved it then. I saw an article about them the other day on TV so came along here and ordered this one. I'm really glad I did. It's really good. It's smooth and easy to move around. The colours won't rub off or anything as it's solid coloured plastic and not stickers stuck on each square. As you can see in the photo, I've not managed to solve it yet, but I'll not give up. Apart from being something to pass the time and keep you occupied, I think this is good for keeping your brain sharp and is good exercise for the fingers/hands. I'm already looking at other cubes as I'd like to start collecting them.

Good quality one.

Bought it as a birthday present for my 13 yo kid. Worked extremely well. Took him about two days to learn to complete the cube from any position with help of Youtube videos. Now he is working on time, and the speed version is helping a lot.

Speedier than your average cube.

Daughter figured out how to solve Rubik's cubes and then started trying to go faster and faster. Traditional cube stuck here and there and slowed her down but this one spins much faster.

Great Cube

Though this might not be the BEST available speed/magnet cube, it is a SIGNIFICANT improvement over other normal cubes. The price is good (I got mine for around $20 Canadian), and it goes a long way to speeding up your cube time. If you've been using normal or budget cubes, you will notice an immediate improvement on your times, which will only get even better after a few days of getting used to the easier and quicker movements. I recommend this to anyone who is serious about speed solving, it's relatively low price make sit 100% worth it.
