Instructions unclear
Steps 1 and 2 were easy to follow. However, I could not figure out step 3 at all. After giving up for a bit I finally figured it out. Step 3 indicates to turn the end of the rod away from you, but what worked for me was to turn it the opposite way (towards me) all the way. Then once you line the rod up to the window, turn it away from you like the instructions indicate and it should extend and tighten correctly. So far it has stayed up and has no other issues.

Works well, even though it's plastic
I bought this to put up blackout curtains in a window that already had blinds installed on it, so I couldn't use the kind of tension rods that I'm used to (the ones where the whole rod sits between two parallel surfaces). I didn't realize the whole rod assembly was plastic until after I got it, and I was worried that it wouldn't be sturdy enough to hold up my curtains, but they're well below the listed weight limit of the curtain rod, and it's done pretty well at holding them up so far. The installation instructions are all right there, printed on stickers that are stuck on the rod itself, and were easy enough to follow. You could take the stickers off, but I left them on because the curtains I bought cover them up, and I'm sure I'll forget how the thing works by the time I move and have to take it down. The only problem I had was that, at first, it would start slipping down/away from the window frame every time I adjusted the curtains (or my cats decided to adjust them for me). That stopped once I over-tightened the rod to the point where the rod started to bend from the pressure, and then loosened it up just enough so that it didn't bend anymore. All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it works for a plastic tension rod, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to put up curtains on a window that already has blinds installed in it, and where you can't drill into the wall/window frame to install a permanent curtain rod.

These are great.
Okay, my only issue with these is an unsurprising one so I'm not sweating it. But, if you want to use heavier curtains like blackout curtains or whatever, you need to use the screw holes and mount them. The tension will just not hold the weight of heavy curtains. They are stylish and pretty easy to mount though, so still worth it I think.

Great for apartment living.
Seems a bit flimsy but you get what you pay for. I'd love to see more color options and maybe a sturdier metal option but it does what it needs to and looks fine for the price.

Finicky
It’s flimsier than I would have liked. It supports one 80”-long panel of blackout curtains, but just barely. I feel like any significant tug will make it come down. Also, the direction you’re supposed to turn the right finial is printed incorrectly. To turn it tighter, turn it towards yourself.

Works great and doesn’t damage your walls
The perfect curtain rod, especially for an apartment, or anywhere you don’t want to damage your walls. No screws or hammering are necessary…the rod is held in place by tension inside the window frame. It does take two people, though; I learned that the hard way! Installs in minutes!

Easy peasy
SO easy to install! Lightweight yet sturdy enough to hold heavy lined blackout curtains. I love it! Zero damage to the walls and works great since my windows have no sills.

Not too difficult to install with two people
Installed this on a 65 inch window. It works well so far but I am still hesistant. My curtains are not too heavy so at least there is that. Overall, quality is good, it seems to work well with the tension locking system and the paint job is very decent, but it better be for the price. The locking mechanism seems to work ok, and I would recommend having at least 2 people total to install, especially if its a high window and if the curtain is very heavy. The middle support bracket that is included is way too short. It was useless to us.

Poor quality, cheaply made
I dont know what anyone says. First time ever writing a review because the product is god awful. At first it looked like it would work except the ends are cheaply made and keeps breaking off. Literally could be doing nothing and the product itself will just break. Don't know why I thought this was a good idea. Can't even return because :) live in Canada and purolator is way too far for me. So legit spent 60 bucks on something so useless. Please do not buy. Listen to the reviews. Not worth your money.

Bad product
Install was as easy as described. Product snapped and broke instantly. It felt cheap even coming out of the box. Great idea, poor design and quality. This would be great if it wasn’t garbage.
