Decent frother with some quirks

I purchased this frother to work conjunction with my bialetti brikka. It's great for light frothing and cleanup is simple. It's a no frills, minimalist frother, highly capable of making light to heavy froth and pairs well with a bialetti brikka. The frother comes with a total of three frothing magnetized discs, one for "normal" use while the others for either hot chocolate mixing or cold beverages. Props to the design of these discs because I occasionally find myself accidentally dropping them in the sink and they immediately adhere to the sink bottom and not into the drain. The frother has some odd quirks. For example, in spite of normal quiet operation the discs develop an intense whine after prolonged use and the disc mounting pin needs to be oiled to prevent friction. I use avocado oil and voila, the sound is quiet again. Second the touch controls are too sensitive and you might find yourself pressing the wrong function. Buttons are still superior and I wonder if this was just a cost savings measure from the manufacturer. Overall a great frother with some annoying quirks. Amazing....at first...

I received this for my Birthday last month and I was blown away by the froth it created for both hot and cold drinks. Until it didn't create any froth 3 weeks later. Didn't even use this daily. Very disappointed, but relieved it was still within the return window. Also, mine didn't come with the flat heating disk, which is used for hot milk without foam.
