These boots saved my bacon this past winter

I have a ridiculously steep and curvy driveway that's always a pain when we get hit with a lot of snow. In the past, I had some difficulty getting up and down the driveway on foot, especially when things got icy. These boots made all the difference. Now I can deal with icy conditions and steep inclines when snow-blowing my way up to the street without worrying about slipping on the snow or ice.

Initially I was going to return them bc they were tight. But, after wearing around the house first then outside to remove snow, they fit great.

Sizing appears to run small

Fit is a little smaller than expected. Product ordered was size 10W, but the item delivered is only marked "10" with no indication that it is wider than regular.

A quality boot

I bought these because2023 has brought me failure of all my 20 year old pac boots. Theae reminded me of my favorite pair and after reading the reviews I got a pair. I ordered a 13 (I'm a 12) cause in my old units I had a 13 and wore double 13 and 12 liners. These arrive and I was please with the construction. They do run a bit small. The 13 is like a 12.5. not enough space for a double liner but feel perfect with two pairs of quality wool socks. I have worn these in 25° with just a crew sock and the was comfortable. The liners are thick. Going to get me a few more pairs.

Exceptionally good boot for the price.

I bought this boot in November right before the snow started to fall. Buffalo had a lot of snow this winter and I walk my dog three miles every day. I’ve worn these boots for almost every walk. They’re warm, dry, and comfortable even for long walks. I think they are amazing for the price. I can’t recommend them enough.

No foot bed

Bought for my grandson. Immediately noticed the removable boot liner was the only thing between his feet and the sole. The mold marks and webbing were painful. Had to purchase Spence rubber insoles to make the wearable.

Order at least one size UP, and watch that plastic hook-n-looper

I wear a size 11 in a Sorel. After 10 years they wore out. My feet are about the same size though. I had seen Kamik's before and some of my Canuck kin wear them religiously. So bought a pair. I like to wear heavy wool socks with my snow boots. Nothing worse than cold feet, eh? I ordered a 11.5 Wide in the Kamiks. They fit like a size 10.5 with heavy socks, and were very tight across the mid sole. Tight boots restrict blood flow, and it's the blood flow that provides warmth. After putting them on, I noticed the metal eyelets and then saw the one PLASTIC hook/loop for the laces. Plastic at cold temps tends to fail. Then I read some of the comments about that hook/loop failing by coming off or breaking. Well, that made the decision easy. Given they were too tight even with a half size up, and someone in the Kamiki engineering department failed to install a bit more expensive but more reliable METAL hook, I am returning them.

One year on they failed

They are good, solid, warm, dry and comfortable, but they only get 2 stars because the stitching on the heel cups unraveled after a year. Both went within days of each other 3 or 4 rows of stitching. I took them to two separate cobblers who weren't prepared to stitch into the rubber compound. So I've had to bin them. If this hadn't happened they'd get a five,

Warmth

Here in Canada it can get pretty cold. I have very wide feet, these boots fit very nicely and are very comfortable and very warm. I was wearing them recently clearing snow. It was around 20 below Fahrenheit and I was very comfortable!

Excellent grip on ice and snow

The boots are very well made, fit well, waterproof, and perfect for walking in snow and on ice. Given that ice is usually very slippery, you still need to be careful, but the treads and soles of the boots do a better than decent job gripping the ice; the best on ice that I've had in my lifetime (I'm 70). The only thing that is a bit of a negative, is that they aren't warm enough on their own; I need to wear an extra pair of (thermal) socks if I'm going to be outside for a long time.
