Works great, and makes use of that old CD slot that no one uses anymore!
This fits great in our 2015 Honda CR-V; it obscures the 1-6 preset selection buttons and the volume knob just a bit when the phone's in the cradle, but it's not too bad. Either the driver can use the wheel-mounted controls or the passenger can work around them. It holds our Google Pixel 4a 5G phones securely, never had a problem with them falling out. When we're on the road it holds the phone(s) still so that we can see Google Maps just fine; there's a little bit of shaking due to engine/car vibration when we're stopped, but that's nothing to be concerned about at all. The CR-V of this and similar model years just doesn't have a great place to put a suction cup-mounted phone holder on because of the texture of the dash and the slight curve to it, so this is a great alternative to those. I really like iOttie's close/open system, it's easy to use and quickly grips and releases the phone when you want it to.

Not another phone holder like it!
So I bought this like 3 years ago. I used my brothers truck and trailer to move and put it in there. I forgot and I thought the kids had got ahold of it. I found out it was in there not because he told me but because my mom says your brother wants a phone holder just like yours. Ahhhh that’s where it was. I said he can have that one I’ll get another one. I have owned 4 others since they are cheaply made don’t last and don’t have as good of a working system as this one. I used his truck the other day here this was sitting there looking and working like new!!! So I took a picture and ordered me another one! I should have done that from the beginning and saved myself money and time. Push the two side buttons in it opens up. The phone pressed against the back and they close automatically. Built very well. Works smooth and last forever!

Works well
I had a little trouble getting this to stick to my dash at first, but I just put it on with nothing in it and let it sit overnight so it could really adhere. Now it works great and when you put your phone in it, it automatically snaps together on either side of the phone to hold it in place. Then when you want to get the phone out, you just press in the levers on either side of the phone and it comes right out. I like the fact that it doesn't attach to my vents, because my old one was like that, but that meant you couldn't have very warm or very cold air coming out of the vent, or else it could ruin your phone. Don't have to worry about that with this one.

Great for cars, but unclear instructions
I really enjoy this phone holder so much more than the ones that clip into the car vents. I always found those would slip off after several days. This one does not. Otherwise, it works great. It also has a small magnetic piece that you can attach to your charging cord and it will magnetically attach to the back of the phone stand so that your cord is always right there. It also easily and securely holds your phone, and it easy to release your phone just by pressing the back pieces in. It does appear that it would be able to hold just about any size of phone, even with a case, as it expands fairly large. I did find it very frustrating trying to figure out the instructions. The instructions made it seem that if you are going to have it installed on your dashboard, you need to use the non-slip disc that comes in the package and then suction the mount onto that. It appears that that method only works if your dashboard is completely flat. It was unclear if I could mount it directly onto the dashboard using only the suction cup. I prefer it on the dashboard instead of on the windshield, though that was another option. We ended up installing it on the windshield because we could not figure out how to get it installed on the dashboard.

Sucks! LOL!
It is a GREAT phone holder to use in the car. It works so well, that I purchased a total of three...one for me, my husband and my son. My husband and I have ours stuck to our windshield. He has a F150 truck and I have a Honda Accord. Two different types of dashboards, depth and surfaces. Stuck to the windshield we can both view driving directions well. It has great suction and has not come off in either vehicle. So it sucks very well...lol! I recommend this product.

Strong, stable, fantastic!
Most secure, stable car phone holder I’ve ever used! I got the CD one. (Don’t really use the CD player, anyway). Could never find just the right holder. And I’ve been looking for years! (Too much money wasted!). This one is out of the way, doesn’t block any vents or screens & is so smooth & easy to use. I can quickly glance over (it’s closer to eye-level), as opposed to looking over & downward to a cup holder. To place/remove phone is so easy…literally, 2 fingers is all you need. It is perfect!

Solid Mount so Far!
Solid Mount so far. I did need to move it so I had to order a second adhesive pad for that. The components are holding up just fine. It does what it advertises it can do. It has been such a good mount that when I decided to put one in the other car I upgraded the Velox version that has MagSafe (wireless charging and magnet hold) so I don't have to manually release the clamp and remove a charging cable to remove the phone in that car. I would highly recommend both IOttie models depending on your price point and needs.

My second one.
Bought an older model of this unit years ago and it has worked great. Suction is very good on glass and hasn’t fallen off in years. I bought the newer unit for my second car and the quality is still there. The auto close is a good feature and makes installing the phone a breeze. It does vibrate a little the more you extend the arm out but nothing distracting. A little more expensive than others but it works.

Good quality mount but requires extra adjustments
The mount itself is great. High quality, really easy to use. However the ball joint is too smooth and any modern phone made with metal will move the entire mount due to its weight. Cutting the fingertip off a disposable glove and putting it on the ball joint before attaching it to the mount fixes it. However the vent clip could use some kind of lip or overhang that could hook into the back of q vent blade. As is, it can easily slide off a vent with minimal g-force, no matter how much you tighten the nut. The entire device slipped off my vent (which already is angled upwards) simply due to following a steady curve on a highway onramp.

Look no further
The best in-car phone holder I’ve used yet. It’s sturdy, easy to install, extendable and value for money. It’s not the cheapest available but I was fed up with keep wasting money trying others that break and don’t have much flexibility. . This is completely variable and has the ability to move to your preferred position then locks in place. It’s easy to place phone and it clicks into lock the phone in position automatically with little pressure on back plate. And then to disconnect phone, it’s easy to unlock the gripping sides by a squeezing motion on the 2 clips behind the back plate. There is a gap at the bottom of holder for your charging wire too Easy to use one handed too. Surprise valued purchase. If you have been looking for a phone holder, this is the one.

Better than any vent phone holder that I previously owned (including a more expensive Mous product) very steady and easy to install - straightforward to make adjustments. Highly recommend
