Incorrect dimensions listed

Bought these after browsing several similar products for the sole reason that the dimensions listed made me believe that they were the largest. The dimensions are clearly listed in inches, when in reality the numbers listed correspond to centimeters and therefore they are far smaller than anticipated. Nice enough product, but not what was advertised.

Just dandy!

I used this for decorative purposes on my coffee table in the living room. It was painted black, but it still looks awesome. Even though it's such a small part, they were good about using decent metal and screws - instead of plastics.

Disappointing

The brass corner brace is very thin metal. Although it is billed as solid brass, the screws are only brass plated, which defeats the point. I know this because 3 of the 12 screws broke when I was screwing them in. I would encourage Hillman to get a better supplier.

Weak screws

First off, do not follow the instructions which say to drill a 1/32 pilot hole. Drill a 1/16 pilot hole instead. Even then, be extremely careful with the screws as they are basically made of silly putty and you can easily screw the head right off with barely any torque.

Screws Stripped and Broke, Too Cheap

I tried to affix these to my desk, and the first screw I put in over a 1/32" drill hole as directed stripped on my screw driver. So I had to buy another screw driver, and it stripped the screw worse. So I bought a set that scaled down into tiny screw drivers with narrow heads and those worked on the next 7 screws. But for the 8th, and 9th, that size correct screw driver then started stripping the screws again. Ack. So the screw metal was way too cheap. Not a good buy and the desk corners were rated at 4.5 stars over 21 reviews. Very unhappy with the product.
