Warranty Description ‎Gila® window films are warranted against manufacturing defects for a period of two years from the date of original purchase. If any product fails to conform to the foregoing limited warranty, and the purchaser submits a valid warranty claim during the warranty period set forth above, the purchaser may be eligible for replacement product at no charge. Original proof of purchase and an explanation of the manufacturing defect will be required to substantiate any warranty claim. It is therefore recommended that the purchaser retain the sales receipt. Perfect coverage

Easy to install on small windows.
My sidelights are comprised of six 7"x11" window panes. Cutting the film to size was easy enough. Being so small, all I had to do is wash the windows, peel off the backing (did NOT have to use the recommended tape trick), align to window, press and dry squeegee. No need to apply the soap water solution and work out bubbles. It stuck good on its own. A bit of water may have help a bit if I had to do a lot of alignment. But with these small size applications, it's simple. I'm less impressed with the design. Please refer to my photos. From the outside during daylight the look just like miniblinds. From the inside, with the sun shining through, the design sparkles which enhances the dot pattern. It's not horrible but in no way do mini blinds look like that. Also, you really cannot see through this design at all - that's either bad or good depending on what you're expecting. Not quite as translucent as the sample image provided by the manufacturer.

Looks good
I’m happy with this product. It doesn’t quite cover the entire length of the window next to our front door, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. But it actually worked out fine because we left a 5-inch gap at adult eye height so we can still see the front porch when we want to. It lets in light and from the outside looks like blinds. It was easy to cut and install. I cut mine with scissors. I used a little barely soapy water in a spray bottle to get it to stick and my library card to swipe out the bubbles.

These are ok.
These were more difficult to install than I expected. I found it impossible to get the water spots out and they certainly didn’t disappear after 10 days. This will probably be a short term solution before I find something else.

Looks like real mini blinds
Used on my door and looks like real mini blinds. Easy to install. Gives total privacy but lets light in.

Did the job
Product was pretty easy to put on. The directions ask that you use the gila applicator kit but you basically need a spray bottle with water, a squeegeex paper towels and a blade. It tell you to put the film over the window but you should measure and cut it first to an inch or so bigger than the window so it's easier to cut when you put it on. I would purchase again if I needed to however this was just to cut down the powerful sun in our eyes. It seems pretty private and does the job.

Easy to apply
Very easy to apply. You don’t need the suggested kit to install. The product says to mix some dish soap and water in a spray bottle. You need a blade to cut to size and a credit card (any plastic card) to push the air out. Allows light in but you can’t see through it.

Pretty easy to install and width wise it fit the window perfectly and I only had to cut a little off the bottom. The suggestion to use a credit card with paper towel is great. Easily gets the bubbles out and soaks it up when at the edges. As to looks, I love it. From the outside it really looks like blinds. My neighbours could look right into the living area of my home and it really bothered me. Now they can't and still plenty of light comes in. I have a transom window above and had to use something else as there is no short wide version of thisl It would be really nice to get a wide version of this. ie 6' but still with vertical blind look.
