It Works

I broke the fridge door handle in my apartment a couple of weeks ago and proceeded to freak out. The fridge belongs to the landlord and I could only imagine how much they would have charged me to replace it. After looking online, all of the places seemed to sell handles only in pairs and for a boatload of more money than I really wanted to spend. I decided to give this handle a go because of the price and was reminded of the old adage "you get what you pay for" once it arrived in the mail. This looks nothing like the factory handle. It is smaller and lighter (Made of cheaper plastic material I'm assuming) and has a textured surface. For me, it all worked out since it was white, slid into place easily, and restored the fridge back into working order. But if you're looking for something to resemble the manufacturer's door handle, then you'll have to look elsewhere.

Perfect fit for our Frigidaire FFTR1821QW

Kudos to Amazon for having this handle in stock and delivering it lightening-fast (the next day) under the Prime membership. It perfectly fits our Frigidaire FFTR1821QW refrigerator, the determination of which was made very simple because of Amazon's part fitness search function. Good going, as always, Amazon! On the other hand, a big THUMDS-DOWN to Frigidaire for equipping our refrigerator with such a flimsy handle. Never before had we owned a frige whose handle broke off in its entire service life. Being the exact replacement part, the handle should be just as flimsy as originally equipped, so we should not be surprised if it broke off again in the future (the original handle lasted all of two years since brand new). If it does, we will never again purchase another Frigidaire refrigerator.

LOL it's a refirgerator replacement handle for pete sakes!

You package it. Take it out of the plastic protective bag. You unscrew to broken piece of the one you are replacing. You screw the new on on into place. It's a handle and it opens and closes the door. The older one broke because it wasn't made so great! Maybe. That and who knows what tenants and kids did to it, like hang on it!

Fits perfect, easy to install

Does what it is supposed to do. Unfortunately, Frigdaire must have changed the design of their door handles... it doesn't match the freezer handle.

Broken after 2 years with light use

Bought this handle for fridge at vacation cabin two years ago (i.e. doesn't get regular everyday use) Went to open the fridge yesterday (a gentle pull) and the plastic snapped at the top where the screws connect it to the top of the door.

Worked for me but wasn’t an exact match

We bought a new house with appliances and the fridge was missing the handle. This was a quick and affordable option that fit the fridge. It isn’t an exact match but it works for now until we can afford an upgraded fridge. You can see that the top of the handle curves towards the fridge. It appears the top of the original handle was flush with the freezer handle. I had no problem installing. Fortunately, the original handle broke off so I could reuse the screws.

Fits fine, not an exact match of original.

This is the second one as my first one lasted about a year before the top mounting point cracked. Admittedly, I'm not sure I had the lower mounting screw fully tightened, causing the handle to move around and crack the top. I put this one on with all screws installed with medium LokTite thread locker and is seems to be fine. The finish is more matte than a shiny white surface on the original. It is not an exact match of the original in shape, but, if you want the fridge and freezer door handles to match, buy 2. They are exactly the same. 4 stars for now.

Perfect fit

Was easy to install and a perfect match. The handle broke after just a few years. We Ordered 2 of them because it seems that is is a common occurrence, based on other reviews and posts online. We wanted a spare on hand because parts seem to go obsolete quickly.

Perfect Fit For My Broken Handle

The finish on the original handle was a smooth finish. This handle has a different, "pebbly" finish. It isn't visibly different, and it works, and fits perfectly. 15 seconds to install

Expensive but the right part.

Expensive piece of plastic but it was exactly what we needed and fit perfectly. As per other comments, no screws were included but we re-used the ones from the old handle.

Very good service

It shipped quickly and right to my door. It wasn't an exact match to the other handle but that may have been my fault for just going with the first one I saw rather than making sure it was a perfect match. I am very happy with how easy it was to install
