Works amazingly except it is not durable

I purchased a whole system of this to replace every faucets outside of my house. It is very easy to control water on/off with this controller. Unfortunately, it leaks/breaks after only six months. It busted at a cold morning. Checked the sign on the product and it does post a NO freezing icon. Wondering how many months of use from this if I live in the north? Actually, I'm in mid-atlantic, it's considered warm in the US. Wondering how the folks in Ontario (the distributor of Gardena) promote this controller in Canada? As of now, my ticket for warranty replacement is pretty quiet and non-responsive. Ready to deal with the mess? You are here.

Make controlling your hoses and watering a pleasure

I purchased these (2) in conjunction with purchasing the Eve Aqua smart irrigation valve. The Gardena Dual Hose Valves were shown in product marketing for the Eve Aqua, and are one of the few dual hose controls that work with a boxy smart valve like the Aqua. They work as expected, and actually exceed my expectation in their ability to control the water flow. I like the fact that the water control is large for easy use. Because it is mostly plastic, I do have some slight reservations about their durability over time given sun exposure, but I highly recommend this for those wanting an elegant and easy-to-use solution.

Well worth the price

I have started using the gardena quick connectors and when I found this item I decided to also give it a try. The quick connectors have made my life (in relation to lawn work) much more easy. And this dual hose valve has made it even easier. First off compared to the splitters that I have used before, this one gives plenty of room between the connections. The other thing is that when you attach it to the main water faucet, after you tighten it, the body moves freely. The only bit of negative feedback that I have is that when the product came I had to tighten the quick connectors that are on the splitter, because I found them to leak a little bit. After I tightened them (just a hand tighten) the leaks went away. I literally do not know why I did not use Gardena for my lawn work in the past. I just purchased another one for the front side of the house.

Nice, well designed product from a leading German design company

Another well designed Gardena product. With the easy attachment system, these things are great. I attach a Gardena computer water controller to one side which leads to a soaker hose for watering foundation plantings. The other side I attach to a regular garden hose that I use to wash the car, etc, and turn off the valve when not in use. With the water computer, I can either program it for automatic watering, or I can simply walk by, push the "manual" button and it will water for the time duration set. Very convenient.

I believe....there is no other brand for the garden products, Gardena is the ONE to go. I bought this a while back, sit under the hot sun, rain, all kinds of weather, and still going strong.

This works great like everything from Gardena, but like everything Gardena on Amazon, the pricing is $10+ more than Canadian Tire or other physical stores.
