Right tool for th job

My husband is on a PEG tube (feeding tube). The tube needs to be cleaned out occasionally and he asked me to help him find something. These will go all the way down the tube and clean it out much like a baby bottle brush. Just the right size

Bought another

After having one of my legs amputated, I needed to be able to safely use the toilet again. This thing was recommended by my Occupational Therapist, and it works very well. It is so useful that I bought a second one for use in our home at the coast, though they are fairly easy to take apart, move, then reassemble at a different location.

Arrived Damaged (or flawed design?)

I purchased this item as a replacement for the identical model purchased about seven years ago. The old commode had a plastic seat that tended to spring loose from its back bar because the plastic had become worn. The new one arrived and when I attempted to assemble it discovered a challenge that rendered the commode unusable. This commode has drop arms that allow the commode to sustain a lateral transfer, then have the arm(s) snap back up into conventional mode. As I was going through the "no tool assembly" process, I noted that the arm lock bolt was loose, so I DID use tools to try to tighten it. Then, in the next step of closer examination, I discovered that the hinged arm, when dropped into its proper place, was unseemly loose - either the accepting bracket had been damaged or the arm had been torqued to the degree that it would not "drop-fit" in a secure manner. The thought of having a commode with an arm that could buckle/collapse with virtually no effort other than its own weight was troublesome for me - I try to provide a safe environment for my wife, who has limited mobility on her left side. there is the precautionary note on the drop arm that it is NOT to be used for "full body support" - I now wonder if that allows the manufacturer to assume that a "drop arm bad fit that gives way under its own weight" meets that caveat. Will not be returning the commode, raided the new commode for its toilet seat and lid, put those on the old commode and called it done

A Lifesaver

When a family member was unable to go and down the stairs for a couple of weeks this saved the day. They weigh 313 lbs and this was wide enough between the arms for comfort. The drop arms make it easy to transfer from either side. The height is adjustable and the rubber on the bottom of the legs don't mark up the floor. It was a item I would suggest to anyone who is larger and needs one.
