Love this top! Only downside is the removable padding

This top is so good! It's easy to put on but stays in place even in strong surf/waves or heavy swimming. Feels great - I didn't realize how uncomfortable the halter tops are until I got the cross-back and didn't have the weird pressure at the back of my neck anymore. Only downside is the removable padding. It's so annoying and I'm over this whole "removable padding" movement that is in so many of my tops and bras. I want some padding so my nipples aren't popping when it's cold. But the removable pads are thin. They fold up in every wash load even tho I put my tops in delicate bags. Then after you carefully unfold them within the pocket, they keep the awkward creases until they are properly soaked again. Please make this top with mild built-in padding and it will be perfect!

Color is more of a orange pink. Not pink. Got in size large. Like cross back, makes easier to tie. Also bought in blue.

Great, secure top

I bought this after trying one on in a store,so I knew which size to purchase. However, the size chart provided was accurate. Without either, I would have bought an extra small, which wouldn't have fit. The straps are only attached at the top and then cross-over back and pass thru on the sides, which allows you to adjust the top as tight/loose as you wish. Because it has only one tie, it's more secure when you're in the waves. There is a pull-out lining in the cups that provides a thin amount of coverage. Only negative: if you're looking for a BOLD colored top, keep looking. The color, while bright, is rather muted, so matching to other Rip Curl products isn't possible. (I bought some bottoms with what looked like the same colors, however the bottoms were more bold.)

Maybe different than older models?

I already own this top in another color, and since I wear it all the time and love it, I decided to buy it in more colors. In both of the colors I bought, the pads were very lumpy - an issue I've never had with my black top (bought at a local surf shop). Not sure what's up with that - if the manufacturing changed or what. I also wasn't sure which size my other one is, so I bought a medium, per another reviewer who said she wore a 34B. I also wear that size and had some major side boob and barely enough string to tie a knot. Exchanging for larges and hoping for less lumpiness in the padding next time. Update: I got the large and the padding is just as lumpy this time. I guess I'm going to have to switch it out from my old top or pick some up somewhere, which is pretty annoying because the holes are really small.

Second one!

I bought the same top a year ago and this one is just as expected. I like the simple style and the fit is good. I wear a 34/36 C and a large is good. My other one stretched a little (which was completely fine with me) and I expect this one will too overtime. I find the padding it comes with can be "ehh" but just take them out or replace them and it can make all the difference.

Perfect top

I love this top! It fits as expected. I like how it ties in the back. It has the look of a halter top but you only have to worry about tying it in one spot instead of 2. It fits securely. The tie stays tied and does not loosen. The sties are also very thin so they don't leave major tan lines. It's a very flattering top. It's lightly padded but you can take the pads out if you want. I would highly recommend this to my friends. I'm a busy mom and I don't want to worry about something popping out while playing with them in the pool!

Great for Smaller-Chested Chicks!

I bought this suit in black first and it was absolutely perfect, so I bought a blue as well. I'm a size small in pretty much everything and am a 32 B cup and purchased a size medium for this swim top and it fits perfectly. I have a smaller chest so I don't need as much support, but if you are someone who needs more support, this may not be the suit for you. I love the X strap design in the back and the front is just enough coverage that it's sexy yet not over the top. Will wear this to the very end!
