Built-in braking ability

Of all the glides I’ve used for my mom’s walker, these are my favorite. By pushing down a little, they come to a complete stop. They lasted about 2 months which seems to be pretty standard for glides especially since my mom is constantly on the go.

Works Beautifully! Wish I Could Buy More!

I have had these on my standard aluminum walker since July 2021. They've been used primarily indoors, but also on mine and my neighbor's concrete driveways. Plus every 2-3 months I have doctor's appointments and have to used my walker. Architects haven't yet learned to design medical offices with handicapped parking closer to the door. So, I have to use my walker to traverse approximately 500 feet of concrete parking lot -- one-way. Over a year later they are still very functional and have not snagged on the rugs in my home. Unfortunately, now I am unable to buy replacements for when these do eventually give out. I wish a new manufacturer could be found because I don't want to resort to tennis balls, or ski shoes or any other cutesy feet on my walker. As the description says, these act like little brakes and do help to slow my momentum if I happen to be going down a slight slope. Whoever had their's wear out after a few months must have been sitting on the handles while someone was pushing them around. They were used incorrectly. If you have a set that you do not like, let me know and I'll buy them from you, for a reasonable price, of course.

Does not fit

These seem fine. But they do not fit our walker. Our walker has a tubing diameter of .88". These fit a much larger tube diameter. I don't know what size it fits, but it is WAY too big. I could not find the diameter anywhere in the product information. Be sure to measure the tube diameter before you order these.

Works great.

This was purchased for a friend with a walker. Before she installed these she had to lift the walker with every step. Now she glides along.
