Very Good to Poor Depending on Your Situation

I struggled a bit with a star rating on this product but settled in the middle. My review should be viewed more as informative than critical. First the negatives: It is hard to visualize how this product will work in your drawer. You really need to know the detailed measurements of the product, then try to match those to your knive set (or mis-matched assortment in our case). Slots for 11 blades, but for us to get all 11 into use requires a very specific placing of knives. I don't think we have that sort of discipline. (OK, we DON'T have that sort of discipline). What we'll likely be doing is using only 8 or 9 slots routinely. That takes up more space than just putting them all in the drawer in a jumble, but it does offer organization and ease in locating the knife you want. The problem really is that no product like this can be all things to all people. The design is clever and well thought out and will work for a lot of folks. Unfortunately, it will be a total bust for a lot of others. We're likely somewhere in the midde. We'll keep it and use it, but short of a custom, home made insert, nothing will fully optimize us, nor most folks I suspect. I'd encourage the seller to provide some more detailed diagrams with measurements to help buyer decide if it works for them. The only real design FLAW I found was in how it is assembled. The rack consistes of 6 identical pieces of wood connected by two long bolts that pass through the block. Each piece is held away from it's neighbor by two small square pieces of wood through which each bolt passes. That creates the slot between pieces. The problem is that this creates a snag when the point of a blade finds the forward most bolt when using the created slots. A better design would have been to seperate each of the pieces with a single strip of wood running the length of the product. A relatively minor annoyance, but unnecessary. On the good side, the rack is well made, uses good materials and is nicely finished. Almost a shame to hide it away in a drawer. I suggust you check the measurements in some of the reviews carefully and in the context of your own cutlery before making a call. If your stuff fits, you'll like it, I think. Otherwise, some level of disappointment awaits.

Save your counter space! Get it!

I've had this for nearly 3 years in 3 different houses (military). A long time ago I sold Cutco and purchased the set I used to demo to customers when I left the job. However, it didn't come with a knife block and we hardly ever have the counter space to store them anyway. This was a lifesaver! Instead of these expensive knives being loose in a drawer, my entire home maker set fits like a charm (not including the two carving forks). It looks perfect in my drawer next to our bamboo silverware organizer! Would buy again! I will say, when I first opened the package, there were bugs inside. I don't know if this happened when they packed it or while it was traveling. Per the instructions, I rinsed it in hot soapy water and let it air dry. I waited a few days to be sure before I used it. No problems since.

Functions as intended & Looks Great!

This is a decent knife storage system made by Cook N Home. I bought two (2) of them to go in my drawer & they are a perfect fit for my Wüsthof Classic 20-Piece Knife Block Set and still left room for a few random pieces. This allowed me to securely store them securely in a drawer. By removing my knives from the knife block, I was able to free up valuable counter space. Some reviewers mentioned their meat cleaver didn't close in the drawer. Mine fit just fine, I just had to reverse it around in the drawer. This will also depend on how deep your drawer is as well as the size of your meat cleaver. Just be sure to measure the inside of your drawer & compare it to the dimensions in the listing. As far as a description goes, this item is made of bamboo, as stated. The bamboo looks as good as any other wood species. It is nice & smooth to touch & has a hefty weight to it. It functions as intended and looks good on display. If you need a safe place to store your knives, this one may be just what the butcher ordered! :)

Perfect Solution To Keep Counters Clear

I was SO happy to find a knife storage solution that allowed me to keep my knives protected and organized without having them out on the counter. This in-drawer knife block fits perfectly in my silverware drawer next to my organizer, and it's big enough to use for all my knives. Highly recommend!

My “favorite thing” this year!

I like these so much, I gave them away for my “favorite things” party at Christmas! I can’t stand extra stuff on my kitchen counters, so I hate having a traditional knife block. This keeps your knives and your hands safe in a drawer! I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to find these! One of my favorite things in my kitchen. I bought 2 to set side by side, and they fit every single one of my knives of all different sizes.

Tidy way to store your knives!

Best invention ever in my opinion! I had a block holder for my knives and although at first it was nice, after a while it would get filled with dust and gunk and just looked pretty gross. I dont like clutter on my counters so a knife block wasnt really for me. I love this knife organizer and the way it stores all of my knives both big and small nice and tidy in a drawer! And its super sleek and modern, everyone loves it and thinks its super cool!

Nicely made

These are very nicely made knife storage blocks. I bought two so I could replace my large, countertop knife block, with something smaller and out of sight. This is universal, so it's larger than it needs to be (my longest knife is probably 8-9"), but there's plenty of room in the drawer. And I'm sure others have longer knives. There's room for six large knives on the bottom, and 5 smaller knives on the top (like steak knives or paring knives). This should really be 7 on the bottom and 6 on top, since most steak knives are sold in sets of 6.

Great Knife Holder

This is the ideal unit for older homes with smaller drawers. Good amount of slots for lots of knives and easily removed for cleaning. Great product!

Good value and functionality.

Great to hold my large and small paring knives. Good use of space with the short and long slots. Would have really liked a place for the knife honer. Good advance notice from another buyer that there is no bottom to the unit - placed a mat under it and knives don't fall through.

Don't know how I survived before I got these

Great for organizing knife drawer. I bought two and both fit into the drawer side by side. Finally I can find the knife safely without rummaging through a drawer full of them. Would make a nice gift for cooks. Highly recommended
