Works … mostly

I wanted to change how my RV dinette table was mounted and I needed these kind of mounts. They work mostly well, but loosen up and need to be reseated periodically.

We borrowed our neighbors older pontoon and the Table base got broken. Apparently it had been broken before. Happy that I could find a replacement.

As is typical with RVs super light weight

My travel trailer dining table (converts to a bed) began creaking and groaning. Then came the trip and use the table to regain balance. SNAP! The casting(s) cracked at the inner receptacle(s). I examined the mounts and the castings and both were cracked. These mounts are exactly the same or at least a direct replacement. Six screws each and the castings were changed. The creaking is gone and my table is stable again. So why 3 stars for sturdiness? These things are an aluminum casting. They weigh nothing, super lightweight. When the box arrived I thought it was empty. I see why the first ones cracked. I would gladly exchange several ounces for more sturdy construction. They do their job, the table is stable again, but they won't handle much (any) abuse.
