Fits Stihl 026 chainsaw

Direct replacement for OEM filter. This one has the round port for breather tube. Other ones do not have this port and do not fit Stihl 026, even though Amazon description says it does. Made in China PRC like almost everything on Amazon.

Poorly made sustitute. About 1//2 the cost of getting the part from Stihl and I found out why. You get what you pay for. This is an air filter that has small imperfection that could let very small particles into the carb. Gave it 2 stars because it could work as a temporary filter. Took original filter off and wash it very gently in warm water with an old toothbrush and dish soap. Rinsed well to get all the soap out and let dry overnight. Logger I know keeps an old toothbrush in his tool bag he takes in the woods.

Junk, buy real Stihl

Looks like it should work, but it will not hold the choke closed for cold starting. Don't even bother to aggravate yourself. Went and bought a Stihl branded one and it works perfectly.

Choke Does not work

Choke lever on your saw will not hold the choke mechanism in this air filter in the on position. The return spring in the filter is to stiff and overcomes the choke lever. Save time buy the oem part.
