Very realistic

I have tons of real orchids around my house and even after touching the flowers on this one I still would wonder if it was fake or not. The blooms look and feel real (as long as you don't look at the back where lines of clear glue are visible). The buds are realistic. This would be 5 stars if not for a couple things: the stems and roots are obviously plastic and the leaves aren't much better than they are. The photo on the listing is what you get- a plum orchid in a white fake marble pot. It is not a white orchid as the title would suggest. It is not a metal pot as stated in the description. I tried to take a photo of the blooms, but it isn't very representative and the color is off. Especially for the price this is a super nice orchid. And measuring from the bottom of the pot to the top of the flowers is just shy of 25 inches. But you could make it taller or shorter depending on how you arrange it- though going shorter you would also have to cut the wooden stake as it is almost as tall as the plant.

About as realistic as they get

The pictures here do not do this justice, I bought based on other reviews so I thought I’d add my own. I routinely buy real orchids. I love them but in a few places I need some that I don’t have to care for. I’m picky about faux plants and florals. They are never going to be exactly the same but I want them to be as close as possible. Truly this brand has about as real looking faux orchids are there are, and for the price you can’t beat it. Many other inexpensive fakes look like they are plastic but this does not. I was blown away by this— the color and veining is spot on for a fuchsia orchid . Of course the petals are real touch. People mistake it for real. It is tall so be aware of the size. You could pay up to 300 dollars for a faux orchid but I don’t know why you would. My only request would be to have it in offered in white, also. Great buy.

Realistic, as pictured

I don't know why someone would give this one star. The Vickerman orchids I've purchased have had the most realistic flowers of any I've gotten and this is no exception. The petals are white with pink accenting and magenta centers. They are real touch and very similar to a real orchid. The leaves are okay, the roots and stem are fake looking though. The planter is textured metallic silver. I'm not sure what's going on with the planting medium, it looks like ground up oreo cookie smooshed into the pot. But overall it is a very nice choice if you are looking for an artificial orchid that might be mistaken for real.

IT'S HUGE

I wanted an orchid that was 18" tall, and this is the description given at the bottom of the page of the Amazon website: Vickerman 18" Artificial Plum Phalaenopsis in Metal Pot, Real Touch Petals. Brighten up your space with a maintenance free plum phal plant, that is real to the touch! (end quote.) When I received the plant, it was actually almost 30" tall! Way too tall for my dining room table. I have to admit that I did not look at it closely; I guess it looked pretty much like the picture. I was too wrapped up in returning it.

everyone thinks it’s real!

WAY better in person! I own many real orchids and this faux is great! Thank you to the other positive review which helped me take a chance on this orchid! have to agree this is an excellent faux orchid with nice real touch petals that people routinely assume is real!! I wish the pot was a little bigger. I also added some some small rocks on the just to mask/blend with the hard faux dirt top of the pot for a slightly more real/organic vibe.

Breath taking just like the real ones !

I can’t tell you how much I love these. They look and feel real . Add a little orchid oil to them and no one can tell the difference. I recommend everyone to buy just so they can have a little paradise in your home.
