So Very Very Close

When I purchased the Deltas, I was riding on a high from Vertx’s Defiance jeans. The Defiance was great: great cut, great fabric, great pockets. So I went searching for a similar Vertx pant that didn’t have exposed rivets or dye transfer problems so that I could sit on the in-laws’ sofa after installing light fixtures without leaving dye streaks or abrading the couch. Unfortunately, the Delta isn’t quite that. The fabric is a similar weight, but somehow feels much heavier and less breathable. The cut is also different, with a shorter rise that can sometimes do a little *sawing* action (if you know what I mean) if you sit down the wrong way. The leg is also a wider, straight opening instead of the Defiance slight taper. There’s still plenty of stretch, so the pants move well while I’m working, but that lower rise just doesn’t sit well with me. The Delta is absolutely a very good pant, but I wish that Vertx offered the Defiance cut and fabric weight in a Delta-style construction.

LOVE THESE PANTS!!!

Alright, so since I only have 1 con I'll get it out the way now. My only con with these pants is that they do not come shorter than 30in. Now this isn't really too big of an issue because I can go get them sized. Pros, these pants are comfortable af. They have so many pockets I really do not need to have more than one item in each, which saves my phone screens from getting to scratched up. I also have designated pockets for my edc gear which is awesome, no more rummaging through my 2 front pockets to get a blade or light out. The quality is amazing & if for any reason you have to reach out to Vertx for warranty issues they're a breeze to communicate with. Love the netted pocket material which allows for a little more air to the legs. I love them so much I own 3 pairs of their pants now, a pair of socks, & 1 of their backpacks, all great quality stuff. ???????? Vertx has not let me down.

Comfort and Flex: Mediocre Craftsmanship

As with the other reviews, the craftsmanship is mediocre. There are lot of loose threats and inconsistent stitching. Besides that, the pants deserve 5 stars. The pants are incredibly comfortable and the major pockets are very useful for EDC or outdoor activities such as the range or camping. The pants are straight fit, but are very roomy and act like athletic pants. They also do not scream tactical for a gray-person look.

The stitching on my pair was very sub par.

My pair came with probably a dozen points of failed stitching out of the box. Its good this has so many double and triple sewn seams because its already down one seam in many essential areas out of the box. Someone KNEW their were issues because it appears under close inspection that they had tried to cauterize the frayed thread. I was very amazed this was boxed up and sold out under the premium vertex label. Big fail in QC. The design and materials are great, the construction and QC clearly has to be addressed, not the first set of questionably stitched Vertex pants I've gotten. Fraying at the pockets out of the box is not acceptable.

Ment for AIWB specific

Lets start with what i like. The strech is actually something i have grown to like. I didn't dislike it before, but it didn't matter. I freaking love the pockets! I used to buy dockers in khaki, these are going to be my new go to. They seem like they would last a long time. I guess I'll have to uodate after i have them a year. I used to have problems with the crotch ripping. These seem like they will be fine.

Overall good pants

Overall good pants. Only thing I would change is that the waistline could be tailored to be about an inch higher to keep the crack the good Lord gave you from showing when bending or squatting. Also, I would like to see the back pockets raised to keep wallet from riding too low on your rear end. Would like to see more color options as well. I wear a 36x32 and fit was spot on.

Could be better for this price?

Ordered in my regular size, but the waist was too small. Exchanged for 1 size (2 inches) larger, still feels a bit tight. Came with loose threads on the small knife pocket. Stretches well in the legs and knee area.

Best tactical non-tactical looking pants ever

Unlike the jeans these kinda fit tight in the legs. The knees have generous space so the pants don't ride up your lets though. These can easily be worn in place of dress pants. They actually look like dress pants. Pockets have generous space and the hidden pocket with the zipper can also store a variety of things. I will be purchasing more in the future!

Amazing Pants!!

A bit pricey but worth it! They are amazingly comfortable with the slight stretch. But unlike other pants that have stretch spandex blended with cotton these still feel durable and not thin and cheap. They look good with a nice fashionable cut but they also have lots of storage with well thought out pockets. They are my new favorite pants. Would definitely recommend!
