Solid, well made terrible plug.
I bought the 20A version of this some time ago and it seems to work well. Equipment has survived the Florida brownages so far (2 years). I recently purchase the ISOBAR12ULTRA and it is equally well made, very large and thick power cord however it has the same problem as the IBAR12-20ULTRA which is the plug is too weak for the very thick power cord. It starts to fall down soon after. For the price they should use a flat type connector at an angle so that the cord does not have additional leverage. Ideally it would be nice if the power cord were detachable. Even nicer if they have a port for a remote on/off switch. Good build quality
Fit perfect in my small rack system, the cord was way too long for my application, but some will appreciate that. Looks great too. I like that there are outlets on the back and front and the power switch is covered to protect against accidental switch off.

Convenient power strip
I bought this to have convenient outlets on my workdesk, using vertical space on a rack rather than clutter in the work area. I chose this for the basic design. I only needed the front facing outlets, not any special voltage/surge control. The construction is sturdy. The internal wiring is nicely done for something designed for easy factory assembly. I got to see it taking things apart to remove the clear plastic cover from the master switch. I agree with other reviewer that the green power LED is a bit bright. The power strip has been handy as intended. I am happy with the purchase.

Quality product!
I have this unit installed on my mobile Dj preamp/amp rack. This is a all metal, professional quality, sturdy power tap. I like the fact of having taps on the front and back of the unit so I can leave everything connected when I put the covers on the rack making setup much easier. Haven't used the spike protection feature on the unit yet (hope to never have to) but I am confident it will do its job. I have two class H amps and one class D connected. I also run my laptop, controller, phone charger and with the amps running just below clipping and this unit has not tripped its breaker. The power switch cover is also handy to prevent accidentally turning it off and the unit is quiet with no hum or inline noise. Money well spent in my book.

Quality Product with Excellent Equipment Protection
I live in an older area with many trees and overhead hydro wires that result with many power interruptions and outages. I did considerable research when I selected the Tripp Lite Isobar12 Ultra Surge Protector. It is a well built unit (not made in China) that offers quality protection with 10 outlets from the rear that I can connect all the various plugs, and leave a very clean and uncluttered look from the the front. I have removed the rack mounting ears and attached rubber bumpers on the underside. Very pleased with with the Tripp Lite build quality, features and equipment protection to date!

More outlets than stated in the description!
The description for this item is incorrect, but in a good way. This actually has 14 outlets, not 12 as indicated in the description. Six on the front and eight on the back. The outlets on the back are in pairs with perhaps an inch and a half or less between each pair. On the front it varies between 1/4" and 1/2" between the plugs. All metal case. Heavy and very solidly built, which is what I'd expect from Tripp Lite. Outlets are snug so even heavy wall warts stay in place. Note that this PDU has surge suppression built in which you'd want to avoid if you're planning to plug it into a UPS that also has surge suppression.

Muy buena barra de contactos
Requeria una barra de contactos para mi servidor la cual tuviera conexiones delanteras ya que muchas veces conecto discos duros externos para respaldos y me es util poder enchufarlos en la parte frontal sin tener que mover cables en la parte trasera. El material y el acabado que tiene es de excelente calidad algo muy comun en articulos de esta marca. La principal razon por la que lo compre con los enchufes en ese angulo es debido a que utilizo muchas veces aparatos con eliminador, de esta forma no bloqueo el enchufe de al lado lo cual normalmente pasa con enchufes en angulo recto normal y terminas desperdiciando varias salidas debido a esto. La barra de contactos cuenta con 6 salidas frontales y 6 salidas traseras, ahora ya puedo tener mis aparatos fijos conectados en la parte trasera y todo lo que necesito solo de momento lo conecto en la parte delantera lo cual me ha ahorrado mucho tiempo evitando mover el servidor a cada rato o tener extensiones colgadas que me evitaban cerrar la puerta del servidor. Otra de las cosas que tiene esta barra es que trae varias perforaciones para las orejas que se montan a los rieles y asi puedes ajustar la profundidad de la misma a tus necesidades ya sea que la necesites mas hacia adentro o la necesitas que quede mas hacia afuera para que no topen los eliminadores conectados con nada lo cual puede ser muy conveniente en algunos casos. Tiene poco peso, el tamaño es muy pequeño y el cable que trae es lo suficientemente largo para un servidor de buena altura. El switch frontal tiene una tapa que evita que por error apagues la barra y pueda afectar tu trabajo. Muy buena barra la recomiendo.

Ciertos detalles
1.- La cajita donde está el apagador siento que la voy a romper, cuesta trabajo abrirla 2.- entre tanta información no leí que el producto está corto, como 6 pulgadas, y siento que ponerlo hasta abajo en el Rack no dará el soporte necesario al amplificador, y cuesta conectar atrás pues queda al fondo, así que tuve que ponerlo hasta arriba, y no me parece del todo. 3.- Los contactos no están sujetos por tornillos, cuando jalas siento que se va a venir el contacto entero, espero que cuando tenga prisa, no se venga la conexión entera

Great product - only problem is orientation of outlets (but there's lots of them)
Good power bar, fit in my rack perfectly. It would have been nice if it came with rack screws, though I suppose that they would have had to include all the different "standard" rack screws. which might be asking a lot. I haven't had any electrical problems yet, so I can't tell whether it actually does what it says, however TrippLite tends to be decent at least. The biggest problem with this is the fact that the outlets are close together, and oriented sideways. This means that the larger bricks take up two (or three) spaces. We didn't have any problems with this, as we set up multiple circuits to the rack, and thus have two of these as well as a UPS, all on separate circuits. This gave us more than enough outlets, even with a couple blocked.
