Not kid friendly to remove

Every type of mix we have tried turns out great. Only con is the “pop” never removes easily from the cup.. usually need the adult to fiddle with it for 30 seconds to get it to break free. Or run it under a tap to thaw a little bit. Kiddo loves it though.

Excellent choice! I would buy them again.

I am happy with the Tovolo brand in general. I own several different Popsicle form styles (bug, star, ice cream cone, rocket, ring pop). I like the company's choice of plastic, durable quality and fun styles. I thought the price was a bit high; however, when I considered the quality and years I would get out of them, I was sold. As a mom, I like the forms that allow you to easily slip the popsicle back in if the form if/when your child wants to take a break from eating it. They all fit back in; however, some of them (rockets for example) only fit in the form one way. It is a bit tricky for my 2 1/2 yr old son to get the rocket pop back in the form and by the time he tries a few times, some of the wings have scraped off and made a little mess. The star and ice cream cone forms on the other hand are a cinch to slide the half eaten pop back in. Many people have said that the ring pops are too small; however, I knew they were going to be small when I bought them...they are ring pops and are supposed to be small. There are times I only want my son to have a small popsicle and they work perfect in those situations. He gets to choose which popsicle he wants and he does not seem to care about the size if it is his choice to pick the little one. Another thing I read about in reviews is the ability for the stick to "catch" drips. I have found that if you fill the form a little less than full that a gap remains between the popsicle and the base of the stick, which allows for the stick to catch the drips. Keep in mind that even if they are caught, they will still spill out when your child tips the popsicle at an angle. The form with the biggest reservoir for catching drips is the ice cream cone by far. All of that being said, if I had to choose a favorite shape, I couldn't do it...I like all of them. So far, my son has chosen the rocket the most, then it is a tie between the ice cream cone, the star and the ring pop. He has not yet picked the bug shape. I ordered my forms from Amazon and hoped that I would like them. I am pleased to say that I am incredibly happy with them! After I bought all of the ones I did, I found them at Whole Foods. So, if you are on the fence and wish you could get a closer look at them, check your local Whole Foods store to see if they carry them or can possibly get them.

Perfect size for toddlers and preschoolers

We have all of the Tovolo popsicle shapes. The little tray around the handle holds little drips making these much cleaner than some other brands of popsicle makers. These are absolutely a perfect size popsicle for small children, though they are too young to really wear it like a ring. So that makes it a little awkward. The popsicle is too small for a child old enough to enjoy the ring aspect of it. Still, I love the size so much, I'm going to buy more of these. Tovolo molds are the best out there, but they do require extra care. I've had 4 different shapes break or chip in the first or second use. Two are still usable, so I'm keeping them. Tovolo promptly replaced the other two with no charge. The company gets 5 stars for customer service, but the product gets 4 because breakage really is a problem. Plastic gets brittle when frozen, so don't ever drop them. Always run them under warm water before removing the mold, even though it may feel like you can easily pull it out. Our broken jewel pop broke at the tip that inserts into the holding tray because a few drops of juice spilled into the holes and froze, so don't ever tug too hard on these to get them out of the tray. The breakage problems can be solved by always rinsing with warm water and never dropping the frozen pops. That can be hard to do with children wanting to do things themselves. The plastic isn't as brittle once it is thawed.

Fun Shape Molds!

All summer we have been making popsicles in my Micky Mouse molds by Tupperware. Homemade popicles can be much healthier than those bought in stores and you can add lots of healthy ingredients without the kids even knowing! My kids love homemade popsicles and I wanted something a little more fun than the original one that I purchased. These molds are really great. There are several fun shapes and my daughter loves that they look like jewels. Keep in mind that they are small. So if you are looking for something for younger toddler aged children I would definitely recommend this item. If you are looking for something larger I would recommend the larger star shaped mold that Tovolo makes -- I purchased those as well. Also, the popsicles don't slide out really easily (and are even harder to get out than the larger ones because they are so small) but if you run them under warm water for a few seconds that usually does the trick. As long as you only do it for 10 seconds it won't melt the popsicle, but rather just make it loose enough to slide out without needing the strength of three people to help you get it out! :)

Handle broke easily but sent free replacements!

We bought this model and the Green Star molds as well. These jewel's handles seem to be of thinner plastic than the green stars handles. Also, unlike the green star handle (which is one solid piece), the jewel handles are made from 2 interlocking pieces of plastic. Within the first day one became broken. Then one of the tabs on the bottom of the mold cup (the piece that allows it to clip on the tray) broke! I called Tovolo (check their website for the number), quickly spoke with a live rep, and they politely sent out free replacements! I am very happy with this smaller popsicle mold - it's really perfect for the little ones. Just enough for a snack. My only caution is that you must run them under HOT water for a few seconds to loosen the treat inside. If you twist or pull by the handle - it will break. The best removal method is after running under hot water, I squeeze the mold gently with my fist and then using my thumbs, I push the circle cap off instead of using the handle to pull it out. Works every time!

Des petits moules à glace parfait pour les tout petits

Après de nombreux achats de moules à glaces pour mes filles, je peux dire que ceux-ci sont parfait pour ma fille de 2 ans. Ce sont les plus petits. Le petit bémol c'est le système de fixation des moules. Un bicou est déjà cassé par ma fille du coup c'est du bricolage pour une des glaces mais je ne regrette pas mon achat.
