Don't look for another gate!
If you need a long gate that can withstand pets or strong little ones (even both) DON'T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE, just buy this! We've had it set up across our living room to keep 2 little ones in and a 70lb STRONG hound out for 4 years and it's just now having to be replaced. When I say this thing is sturdy I mean it. This thing withstood extremely heavy usage,children tugging on it, dogs hopping on it and trying to open it, and 15+ times of daily opening and its just now needing the door part replaced.

great quality, misleading color description.
I love this gate. Although first I must mention, the color states "bronze" a lot of other people have mentioned it's like a chocolate Brown, I don't know if I got s different one but the color of the one I recieved is black. I would have preferred a Brown, but it is definitely a black! Anyway, I got the gate because I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old that needed to be kept out of the kitchen to keep (my newly walking and getting into everything 1yo) away from the dog dishes and garbage can. I needed a gate that would work with a 76 inch opening and I chose this one not only because it could be made into a play yard, but also when we move in the future the extra inches were nice incase we move to a home with a bigger opening that needs to be closed off. My fiancé got it together in less than 10 min and since he left the drill at my mother's house it's currently not drilled in to the wall but is still amazingly sturdy and hasn't budged even with my freakishly strong 3yo trying to climb and push it, as well as me getting used to it and bumping into it (hard) quite a few times! The plastic joints are great quality and very sturdy (unlike many other kinds of gates I was considering). Others have commented about having difficulty moving the gate door to the middle, but my fiancé had no problem moving and adjusting everything without even glancing at the instructions (and let's just say I'm usually the one fixing and getting things together in the house). The ONLY con I can think of besides the color, is the fact that the door only swings one way... so just make sure you have it the way you want it before drilling into the wall! Glad I was supervising the installation or else I would have been highly upset! It was a toss up between this gate and the other North States 3 in 1 (off white metal one $125), I chose this one mainly because the gate door had like a bump on top where as the white one was completely level all the way across and would be really hard for guests to distinguish where the door is, so to save the embarrassment and confusion I went with this model. Oh, one more CON, as mentioned in other reviews... the gate door isn't wide at all! I read it and didn't think it would be a problem for me since I'm very petite at 115pd 5'2" but it posed some difficulty to be constantly in and out and was the main cause to why I kept bumping into it. Just something to keep in mind! Anyway, great QUALITY product that I forsee lasting years and more children to come! It was definitely worth the extra money for this gate! Not to mention the free 2 day shipping alone was well worth it! I'm very confident in my purchase, I did hours of research and read probably hundreds of reviews which I heavily relied on to ensure I made the right choice especially with the price difference!

A Lifesaver for (Puppy) Parents
We adopted a Havanese mix a few weeks ago who's now about 12 weeks old. This gate has saved our sanity in our quest to house train her. The gate can be adjusted to accommodate different areas that you want to block off from puppy potty accidents/teething damage. Your pup likely will not bite or chew on the bars since the gate is metallic (ours tried once and never did it again). The hinges allow for the panels to rotate at different angles including making a full enclosure. It's a solid product with good weight to it so you don't have to worry about it falling over. I'm sure this can be just as useful for parents of babies and toddlers. Very highly recommend!

LARGE, FLEXIBLE, STURDY!
The media could not be loaded. EXCELLENT QUALITY! Best gate I’ve seen & had so far. I use this to separate the living room from the rest of the house so that my children remain in the living room when playing and not running around wild in the kitchen & bedrooms. The walk through door on this gate can be removed to position it differently (I have done this before). I’ve had to reposition the walk through door on the gate when I first got it and did it a second time when I moved. The gate is tall & sturdy compared to other short cheaper ones or wooden flimsy gates sold in stores like Target/Walmart. You can drill both ends of the gate into the walls and the handles that drill into the wall also flex to drill at different angles all depending on how your home is built. It is foldable, not hard to assemble. Can stretch it out or make it round like a play pen or even dog pen. The gate has these handles on each panel that you twist to the left to tighten the panels at whatever angles you’d like and you twist towards the right to allow you to fold/flex the panels. I also looked into many other gates before purchasing this one, It’s tall enough to keep my 3 & 6 year old from climbing over. Sometimes my 3 year old tries shaking the gate when he wants to get through but because it’s drilled onto the walls it doesn’t move around. This gate is so good I have recommended it to others!
