No Mash Tun required
Perfect for brewing without a mash tun. Just mash with the malt in the bag, in the brewpot. Very easy.

Not heat resistance
Dont use this near heat. I wouldn't even dump hot water through this

Good for more than Brewing
Bought and tried this fine mesh bag to filter out sugar sand ( it's a real thing ) from Hot Maple sap as I am boiling it into syrup this year . It works well hot or cold . I have since subscribed for one every 3 months so that I can filter warmed honey as well before bottling it . Will also be adding a bag to each collection bucket next spring to help keep out leaves , bark and bugs when I am collecting sap . Since I am a small backyard hobbyist this a beautifully cheap solution to the expensive equipment that they try to sell to everybody .

Great little brew bag for AG or BIAB
I ordered/got this a while back but wanted to wait and get some serious use out of it before reviewing. I bought this to use primarily in AG recipes in my 15 gallon MT and have been using it in conjunction with my domed false bottom. The image is pretty much spot on in that it's longer than it is deep but I still get about 2" over-hang on the pot, but that's with it not fully resting on the domed bottom. Not to bad. I also used it a few time on my 10 gallon Home Depot cooler/MT in conjunction with an old bazooka screen when doing smaller batches and it's worked great so far. It's been through about 7 batches so far and is still all in one piece. Sturdy, filters well and easy to clean All in all, it's worked out fairly well so far. It's definitely aided in clean up and clearing my sparging up a bit more so yeah, I'd recommend it. I'll definitely reorder another when it finally wears thin. Were it was about 6" taller so that it rested fully on the bottom of the pot with slack to spare I would have given it a full 5 Star. As for delivery, It was shipped out fast and came in on time.

Look at this picture carefully, and tell me it doesn't look like a kettle on its side?
First of all, I have nobody to blame but myself for not paying careful attention to the dimensions when I bought this. I was in a hurry, I saw a ton of awesome reviews mentioning 10-gallon kettles (mine is only 8), the prices was right, and it had same-day prime. That said, given all the 5-star reviews saying it's perfect for 10-gallon kettles - I would like to know WHO out there in the world of homebrew is brewing with a kettle that is wider than it is deep?? And yes, I know there's a drawstring, but that is useless when it is going into a kettle that is much, much, MUCH narrower than the draw string (Imagine a little kid putting on adult XXL sweatpants and pulling the drawstring to keep them from sliding down? Not going to stay up, are they?) Even if I my kettle were a few inches wider, that would mean my kettle would be taller, meaning the bag would not even come down halfway into the kettle. How on earth is it going to be hold more than ~10 pounds of grain before collapsing into the bottom? My regret is not spending a couple extra dollars and getting theNylon Extra Large Straining Bag- 2' x 3'- Coarse Mesh (note that those dimensions are 3 feet DEEP). I didn't dry my previous one all the way before storing and it became moldy. Yes, it's a little more money than I would prefer to spend, but it is perfect fit for 8 gallon / 10 gallon kettles. This one, however, I'm not sure who has a kettle that fits this. I will now be using this as the world's most expensive dry-hopping bag. +1 star because that's the Amazon baseline, +1 for me reading the dimensions backwards (though I repeat, these dimensions are dumb), and +1 because it appears to be a very sturdy, fine-meshed bag.

Very Nice Bag for BIAB'ers
That's Brew In A Bag, BTW. You don't use this bag for boiling anything. You bring your water up to about 155f, line your mash kettle with this bag and secure it around the top of the kettle, and slowly pour your grains in, stirring all the while. Cover, and after an hour or two you got your mash all ready for the brew kettle, which ideally is also the mash kettle. Pull the bag, which will be heavy, and let it drain good. Squeeze it if you can safely do so. If you are making a very strong beer, you can sparge with maybe three gallons of very hot water and get another couple gallon batch at a lower alcohol content. This is to me the only practical way to make an all grain beer. And THIS is the bag you want. Best one I have found, anyway. It is a very strong bag with a good drawstring, and it can be washed and reused multiple times.

Fantastic.
I brewer two of the same recipe in this bag, once with the drawstring pulled tight and tied up like a "teabag" sort of method, and once with the bag as shown lining the pot drawstring pulled flight around the outside circumference of the pot. The first method was flat useless OG finished at 1.046 required additional heat every 15 minutes to keep temp up. The second method finished at 1.080. Same recipe same mash temps only had to add heat once in the middle and it wasn't much. The bag was sitting on the bottom of the pot when I added heat (gas stove 4 gallon stainless pot on the biggest burner), nothing happened to the bag, I was terrified it would melt and destroy the beer, didn't happen. It's a little bit of a pain to clean and holy crap is it heavy trying to sparge through it, I'm 6'1" 200 lbs and the sparges were painful trying to hold that beast with one hand and pour near boiling water over it for ten minutes straight without putting it down... This thing is great. Just buy it you won't regret it.

Well made product
I've used this product for 25-30 all-grain batches of beer now and it's still in great condition. No tears or obvious wearing. It takes a few minutes to rinse it off properly after the grains have been emptied, but is otherwise easy to wash. I usually just hand wash it along with the brewing kit, but have also machine washed it.

This can handle your brew - that's for SURE
I bought the bag while ago, but was able to use this only few weeks later. *Product Presentation* Even though it came with a simple wrap bag it was clearly that the packing was done carefully, everything was in place with a good quality (very well folded, and something I could get back even after unfolding to check :) ). *The Bag Itself* The bag looked strong since the first look, the fabric was clearly made of good quality the sew seemed to be strong and when I raised it with my 5.5kg I noticed it wouldn't disappoint me, that's was NOT a hard time for the bag, well.. might be because of this that the description says it can handle around 9kg :). Strong sewing and good quality *Using the bag* It fitted into my 16 Gallon perfectly I had no problem to make a knot in the rope that comes in it to hold it in place, although I felt better with helping it with some clothespin, just to make sure it wouldn't go to my hot wort and cause me some hard time. I used a continuously circulation and by the end of the pre-boil phase, my wort was perfect clear. I had no issues with raising the bag and letting it dry for a while. *Cleaning* I cleaned it with cold water, only, and took not more than 5 minutes. I let it dry and found some really small pieces of malt that I could remove manually and it was clear and seemed new again. *Conclusions* it is a steady product and would not disappoint you. I would definitely recommend it and buy another one if needed. Good job guys!

Use it carefully
Easy to break it, even with a wooden spoon.

this fits a 30ltr fermentation bucket
struggled to understand which size to get as extra large is a relative measure, but happily this is the perfect fit for a 30ltr fermentation bucket, as I am making apple wine and needed to contain 10kg of chopped apples in about 12ltrs of sugary water etc. Now all fermenting so hopefully apple wine later in the year. So just right, maybe the cost is a little high so marked down there.
