Looks great!!! Works great!!!

We were looking for ceiling fans with no lights attached as we have lights in the ceiling. We were also looking for fans for a low ceiling so we wanted them to be fairly close to the ceiling not hanging down as many of them are. We bought 2 and they are perfect!!! Love the way they look. They work great! We use them in summer to pull the cool air down from our air conditioning vents and in winter to push the warm air down. I would recommend them and definitely buy them again.

Great product, easy to install/swap with existing fan.

This fan went up quick and easy. I do want people to be aware this is not a 1 man job you will need a helper. That being said you dont need to be an electrician to wire it up, if you can read a wire diagram and have basic electrical knowledge you should be fine. Fan has four speeds with a pretty quiet motor and minimal wobble. Very nice looking finish, would recommend.

Ease of installation

I see many here had problems installing this fan. I know from experience that the average homeowner may have a little trouble installing this unit. First thing you should do with anything is sit down with the instruction and read them. Next, make sure all the parts are in the box. Most instruction are Sept by Step in the proper order, so you don't forget tp tighten screw "A" while you are on your way to part "B". Re check what you just completed THEN go on to the next step. Better now then have to take it apart to correct something. Someone said it was hard to get the blades mounted the blade arms. It has to be to prevent wabble and out of balance fan. jUst take you time, they will go in. I did it an hour and a half of actual work not counting reading the instruction and inventorying the parts. I am not an amateur at doing these things. Now, if will last the 20+ years the old one did, I will be happy.

Cool but smelly

The fan is quiet enough and my installer did a good job and said it wasn’t hard But for the first 10 days or so of use there was an unbearable odor that gave me a headache . I was afraid I’d have to pay to “uninstall” it and return it, but the odor is practically gone. The manufacturer needs to eliminate this if possible. . Seems to work fine now.

Great Fan/Bad Instructions

I gave this ceiling fan 4 stars and not 5 because of the instruction that came along in the box. I’ve installed a half dozen fans in my life and this one was the most difficult because the instructions were so vague. It normally takes 2 hours to install a fan properly but this one took me 8 hours. Ex: When putting the fans on the screw driver is unable to get to the screws because the light units in the way. After scratching my head a few minutes and ALMOST taking the light fixture off, I noticed a spot about 1” wide where you can spin the fan motor to so you can screw in each fan. That was just one example of what the instructions did not tell you but there are a few more you just have to figure out on your own. I have to say that now that the Effing fan is up, it works really well and comes with 4 LED Soft lights that really light up the room. Oh yeah, you have to figure out how to put the glass fixtures on. Hint: There are 4 circular porcelain screws that you twist around the base of the bulb outlet while holding the glass fixture at the same time…I think you get the picture. Good luck.

Base model has no remote...decent fan, worked for me

Instructions were quite comprehensive & I installed it myself...only asking an electrician one question first. I do have good hand skills though & took it in stages from a stepladder, mount first, take break, then complete motor & blades, then lighting package. I fired up the fan motor by itself once connected & it was noisy with a small harmonic to the hum...no matter, this all cleared up once the blades were mounted & the whole assembly then became acceptably silent. The rustic bronze/brown paint surfaces are attractive, as are the lamp sconces which are mildly "antique" looking. Happy with the fan, lighter in weight than my last one.

Great Fan!

This was exactly what my husband was looking for, a tight ceiling fan that looks great. Very happy with the purchase. And he said it was one of the easiest to put together that he's ever had to do.
