Plastic degrades in UV

I put this on my boat (Florida) and it was not in direct sunlight. It lasted 5 yrars before the white plastic body got stiff and broke.

Great value and quality

We installed six of these lights inside our boat. They work perfectly to light the interior at night. No more tripping over an object we can’t see. The quality is excellent and they are very easy to install. I highly recommend them!

Brighter than Expected

I installed two of these in my boat, one the captain's ( drivers's) area and one in the walkway. I was really surprised at how brightly the lights were.

Seems like it should last in the marine environment

Bright enough to prevent tripping when mounted every 18". Seems like it should last in the marine environment. Being plastic with coated PCB nothing to corrode. Lightweight, yet sturdy for what it is. Wires are tiny so should be supported at the crimp.

Perfect replacement for incandescents

These were a great replacement for my factory installed courtesy lights on my chaparral. Nice, bright white light and exact fit.

great product, not exactly the same as old ones

these companion way lights were visually identical to the lights i had in my 1999 Princecraft so i purchased 2 of them to replace the old ones in my boat, one of the old ones was burnt out. the lights look identical and exactly fit the pre-existing holes, however when set in place only 1 of the 4 screw holes actually lines up with the old screw holes. to make matters worse the 3 screw holes that don't line up are just off slightly so you can't re-drill or you will end up with a gaping screw hole with poor purchase. So the screws for the lights don't sit flat. the lights though are great, bright and easy to install.

Replaces the old incandescent ones

Been wanting to replace the old style deck lights for a while now, these are perfect for covering the old ones up. The screw holes are off a bit, but I didn’t have trouble drilling new pilot holes without splitting into the old ones. Should be nice and bright for night boating
