Product is nice, but contained two hot water handles (and involved assembly) and both the hot and cold ceramic trim buttons were broken. Unfortunately, because we had paid to have a plumber come install it, we had to choose to either have it installed "as is" or pay for a separate service call. We submitted a request to have broken/missing parts sent. We hope they will actually be sent, although we will still have to pay to have the cold water assembly reinstalled.

Tricky To Install, But Beautiful Results
I'm going to be completely honest with you, dear reader. In a residential bathroom, with a standard vanity, these are a bit tricky to install. If you've never put in a faucet before, you might consider watching a video or two prior. It can be installed by anyone who knows anything about plumbing but is hard to install in small spaces and with curved plumbing in those small spaces. That said, this faucet set is beautiful. Brushed steel with chrome plus shaped handles, it comes with everything you'll need to install it except for a few tools and plumbers tape. To install it, you will need to supply your own plumbers tape, a Phillips blade screwdriver, a large mouth wrench, (I used a pair of channel locks) and regular pliers. One thing to note - be sure to check the distance between the 3 holes on the top of the sink. The sink I put it in, the holes were just about 1 mm too close together, therefore making for a tricky and tight fit. All the connections and fittings are covered by gaskets and compression fittings. Also too, (like in my case) the drain lift rod was just a bit too large, so I had to use the original one, but given it and the faucet are the same metal, no worries there. The "H" and "C" valve covers are made of ceramic-like stuff and like very clean and are clear to read. You can also buy a "grid drain" (sold separately) if you are using it more for a "utility" or commercial type setting. Aside from the "room to install" issue, this is a striking addition to any home. Not just restrooms either. If you have a lower clearance for your kitchen sink, the lower profile makes this a clean, attractive addition to your spaces. Drain seals tightly and is designed to sit almost below the sink bowls bottom. The drain also has an under sink coupler that has been chrome plated for visual appeal in an area or application that the drains will be seen by the public. Being stainless steel, it is also naturally bacteriostatic and therefore helps to reduce germs spreading to the rest of your family. Overall, I ADORE this faucet in our bathroom, and it certainly increases the aesthetic appeal of our bathroom. It is a terrific value for the price, and I highly recommend it.

Didn't fit on my sink
I was very much looking forward to installing this. I went by the instructions by attaching the hot and cold valves first. No problem. But, when I set the main spout in, it touched the hot and cold valves!!! So, the holes are not far apart enough. Major bummer. And, they shipped me with 2 hot valves. The instructions state that the left is hot and marked with a red stripe. While the right is cold and marked with blue stripes. I was given two red stripe valves. I would've been fine to install them, but still. It would've been a nice piece, but they didn't fit. I'm giving 4 stars because it is not the manufacturers fault they didn't fit my sink, but I can't give it a 5 because I wasn't able to fully test it AND I got incorrect parts.

Beautiful Finish and Very Good Quality
This polished chrome faucet from Symmons has that fine elegant look like I have come to expect from high end faucets. I usually get Newport Brass for my clients but this one is about half the price yet has all the good looks. Beyond the finish I would say the valves and handles feel similar in quality. They turn smoothly and noise free. I hope they stay that way. The faucet is very solid and you can tell made almost complete from brass. It weighs about 7 lbs. This one is made for an 8" center set widespread hole pattern. It looks best in at that spread. While the faucet arc in tall at about 7", the faucet does extend down at the end to reduce the overall spout height to around 5" off the base height. It is still taller than most lavatory sink faucets and I appreciate the extra "hand room". The test version I received is the 1.0 gpm model and it still produces a very luxurious and useable water flow and pattern. I will give this one 5 stars as for the money is seems a very good value to me.

A little more shiny than you might think
These are nice, antique look bathroom sink fixtures. The action is nice, the installation standard, and the quality appears to be high. The one thing to consider here is that the finish is fairly shiny bright chrome. The pictures make it seem a little duller, but it is not. So, looks good, has ceramic valves (no rubber seals to replace). and seems like it will last a long time.

Beautiful and easy to install
Beautiful and simple at the same time, this faucet set will really perk up s bathroom and is easy to install. Hopefully I get more than a year out of it.

Gorgeous, solid, smooth, great support!
You can see for yourself from my pictures how perfectly this faucet matches my Victorian style bathroom. What you cannot see is how heavy the fixture is, and how smoothly the knobs rotate. As is appropriate for old-fashioned "cross handled" knobs, they both turn on when rotated in the same direction, couterclockwise. This is authentic, working as intended, and different than some of the cheaper big-box faucets which work like levers in that they turn on when rotated in opposite directions, away from the central stem. Symmons' support it simply fantastic. My stem was initially the wrong finish (brushed instead of chrome) and I made the mistake of tearing out the old faucet before completely unwrapping the new one. Nevertheless, all it took was one email with a picture and Symmons mailed me the correct part at no cost to me. You couldn't ask for better support, and they get my whole hearted recommendation. They are a pleasure to deal with, and their faucet looks and feels like a million bucks. I look forward to decades of service out of this thing.
