Solid Lightweight Mop + 2 Hacks To Save You Some Moolah
So I already owned a Swiffer Sweeper mop (the green on that doesn’t spray) so I had a fair idea regarding the quality of the product. Long story short it’s a solid mop for the price point. Are there better mops out there? Yeah of course but for a mop in the mid $20 range it’s hard to beat. In my opinion the reason they sell this for such a low price is because they intend to make their profits over the long run with disposable pad and cleaning solution refills. In business school they called this the disposable razor strategy, give away a cheap razor and make your money over the long run selling cartridges… That said I’ve got a couple hacks that can make it so you don’t end up spending $100+ over the life of your mop. I wish I could take credit for them but I honestly saw a youtube video and I’m just parlaying the info into this review haha. First things first though let me cover a few of the pro’s and con’s. Pros: - It’s very lightweight & easy to move around for cleaning. Also comes with a swivel head which makes it convenient to get into tight spaces - It’s reasonably compact so it’s easy to find a place to store it. - It comes with batteries for the handle trigger so you don’t have to go to the store to get them. Cons: - The cleaning solution and disposable pad refills are expensive - The disposable pads don’t pick up a lot and really only work well for light messes. - It’s not a super durable mop so I imagine I’ll have to replace it eventually Money Saving Hacks: Tip 1: To save a ton of money on the cleaning solution you can just cut a small hole in the back of a cleaning solution bottle and then refill it with whatever cleaning solution you want. I personally just use vinegar with a little dawn soap and it works great for me. Then just use a standard cork (good excuse to drink a bottle of wine) to plug the hole. Tip 2: Buy some quality microfiber pads for the mop. There are a handful of companies (on amazon) that sell reusable microfiber pads for the Wet Jet mop. I personally bought the Turbo kind but searching reusable wet jet pads on Amazon brings up a ton of different options. Once you’ve got some reusable microfiber pads just throw them in your laundry with your towels and you’ll save a literal fortune on disposable pads while also making the mop way more effective. Obviously it depends on how often you clean and how large your place is but personally I’m saving over $20 a month by doing the two above things while still getting all the convenience of the wet jet mop.

So fun + hacks!
My whole family loves this product. It’s so easy to use and actually quite fun. Although the pads and refills are expensive, there’s easy ways around that. You can get the cap off of the cleaning solution by letting it sit in hot hot water for about a minute. Once you remove the cap, you can use a nail file or drill of some sort to sand down the ticks in the bottle cap. It will then twist on and off with ease like a normal bottle and you can refill it with whatever cleaning solution you like! No more buying refills. And for the pads, you can use Walmart brand disposable pads, which are cheaper than the Swiffer brand, or reusable ones from amazon. Either way, it’s a great purchase and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I love this mop , I upgraded from the regular swifter with the changeable mop pads and this thing is awesome, super light weight, easy to assemble and to use and get the job done quickly! Love it

Love this thing!
I like this mop very much. I would not say it’s for deep cleaning, but it does a nice job if you get your floors nice and clean and then keep up with it with this mop. You just add the cleaning solution, batteries and a Velcro mop pad (either the Swiffer pads or the reusable ones that I use - I’ve tried both, and I prefer the cloth ones), and you’re ready to go. Push the button to release the stream of solution periodically and push the mop over the floor. Quick and easy. I recommend this product for upkeep, not for deep cleaning.

Wish I’d bought it sooner!
This is the perfect cleaning system for my vinyl plank floors! Cleans really well and doesn’t leave any streaks. Only wish I’d bought it sooner!

Life Savor
For a guy who has been very patient with my puppy, trying to Potty train her, this has been a life saver. Not only is it quick and smooth on all accidents. Its the idea of no matter how big or small the mess, you can pick up this lightweight stick, spray it down... and you feel like you just got down on the whole floor. Smelling clean and looking new

It stopped working in a couple of weeks, so I changed the batteries (twice!) and it still won’t work. If a replacement is possible that would be nice!!!!

A great tool for spot mopping.
Not a mop for the whole floor. You will go through a pad a room and use a lot of the washing fluid. Which is why I didn’t give it a five star rating. I bought this for my new floors to have a more gentle clean but still a good clean. It’s not meant for deep cleaning in my opinion. It’s better for light spot cleaning like footprints and those coffee spills that happen to speckle the floor when you carry it from one spot to the next. It takes AA batteries so that part kind of sucks. But they’re easy enough to get to and change.

Better than I thought it would be.
I thought it wouldn't come close to a mop and a bucket but I like it better! Floor dries a way quicker And its well built as I like to put muscle into my mopping. :-) ( One tip - you can reuse and fill the bottle up with your own water/mr.clean if you desire )

Stopped working after a few months.
Was very excited to get this mop after seeing a friend using it. Worked great for a few months than sprayer button stopped working. Changed batteries and still nothing, Very disappointed in this product. Of course, no warranty left on it from seller. Expected more from this brand.

Life saver but needs a hack to save money and the environment
The best mop ever. I wish I had owned it since 6 years ago. But I hate the idea of having to replace the bottle whenever it’s empty. It’s such a waste of money and not environmentally friendly. I googled how to refill the bottle and most people suggest to open the cap, but someone noted that everytime you take the bottle out and put it back in, the needle will create new holes and it would risk having the cleaning solution drip into the motor unit and cause rust. So I ended up drilling a hole at the bottom of the bottle which is essentially the top when it’s plugged into the swiffer, using a big drill bit. Then I used a dollar store wine saver (a cork replacement made of plastic and silicone/rubber) to close the hole. So whenever I want to refill the bottle, I just take out the “cork” thingy and use a funnel to pour the solution. Tadaa! Best purchase of the year.
