I wish I had this years ago!
My Bella enjoys car rides now! She didn't for years. My other dog did, but when they were in the car together it was so stressful. I didn't take them nearly as many places I would have liked to. My little man passed last July. Bella hadn't known home without him. She had awful separation anxiety when I initially got her. She calmed down pretty quickly, but she always had him. Without him, we were both depressed. I hated leaving her home alone, so she started coming on errands with me. In my truck she sat on the huge armrest that folded down beside me. She was comfortable and had a great view. My old car was all scratched up from the two dogs over 10 years. Again, they were comfortable enough and the damage was already done. My truck would no longer pass inspection, so I had to buy a new car. Bella and her brother always tried to stand on the seat with their paws on the dash. Thus, the scratches. Also scratches on the door from doing the same. On the little console beside me etc. I couldn't figure out how to have her ride with me but not damage my car. I started thinking, "if only there was a raised seat that I could put in the car for her." I was considering making something. Then, I figured I couldn't be the only one with these issues. So, I started googling and found an entire product line. Who knew? Probably everyone but me. Bells has a bit of a weight issue, so I needed her seat to be roomy. I had purchased a different one and it was all around awful. This was my second purchase and we both love it! Yes, it takes up the entire passenger seat. That's completely ok! I was happy it fits up front. The pictures of the large one all showed it in the back. The seat is held in with the seat belt. She can sit comfortably, while being able to see out the side window. It would be awesome if it was raised more because she still can't easily see out the windshield. However, she's a smaller breed. A german shepherd definitely wouldn't want it raised any higher. Bella is an old lady, so she doesn't try to get out of this seat often. It has saved my car. It has relieved her anxiety about car rides. She loves them now. Now that she is used to it, I need to start putting her harness on and buckling her in. After 10 years of riding untethered I didn't want to freak her out. Now, I can relax knowing she is comfortable, safe and happy.

Love this item
This is the best car seat and fits both puppies with room to grow. I purchased the large and both dogs are 14 lbs and they love it. The whining and barking stopped as soon as we got this for them. The two lanyards hook onto their harnesses and collars perfectly. It fits in one car seat or if in the middle back it covers a little of the other seats but someone can still sit there no problem. They are safe and happy to be out of their crates when in the car. The raised seat is very nice for them to see around but they usually fall asleep in the first few minutes.

Great quality and perfect for my 24lb beagle mix!
This is such an upgrade for my pup! In his old seat he had to stretch for dear life to see outside and this boosts him up so he can relax and see out the window and big enough to stretch out on longer drives. It’s SO soft and has a firmer pillow underneath to keep it raised. The buckle goes thru under the pillow and fits flush with the car seat which my old one didn’t and always had a weird gap. Also love it has 2 leashes to connect more than one dog if you have two smaller ones but I connected them together so he has room to move a little more. The only drawback is it does take up the entire front seat of my Highlander and I have to put the seat all the way back for him to hop down then out but that’s not a dealbreaker for me. Love it and would definitely recommend!

Great for giving dogs their 'space'
My kids laughed at me when I told them I had ordered two of these seats for our two, new 15-lb rescue dogs; however, I'm laughing now. While both dogs were fairly good in the car, having two jockeying for a position in the front seat wasn't going to work. These car seats were the perfect answer. They are sturdy, have two safety straps each and fit nice and tight in our existing car seat belts. (Note: The person who gave them a bad review because they didn't stay sitting on the car seat when you pulled on the safety strap needs to remember that you first must attach the car's seat belt to the doggie seat ..... ) One of our dogs still whines when we place him in the seat but enjoys looking out. The other took to it immediately and sits looking out before curling up to take a nap. I went back and forth between small and medium; however, went with the small because they fit better in the back seats of our Highlander (and we had to fit in two doggie seats). There's plenty of room in each seat for our little guys to curl up and be comfortable. One other thing, remember that your dogs need to be in a harness ... not just a regular collar.

Love that it uses seatbuckle to secure
Very well made safety carseat seat for our pug! When looking for a seat I was sad to see so many only offered a flimsy plastic and fabric around the seat type securing for their seats, not this one! This seat is secured through it's base with your vehicles seatbelt, like a child's carseat would be. The belt goes through one side, through a strap in the bottom of the seat, and then out the otherside to be buckled in. The cushioned part of the seat is placed over top of that. I also really appreciate the double leash type attachments (also located under the cushion) that can be clipped onto your dogs harness, to deter them from jumping out of the seat. I'm very very pleased with the design and quality of this seat for my fur baby.

MY DOG LOVES THIS SEAT
It fits a 20 lb dog… looked everywhere and could only find one large enough for my pet on Amazon. My dog loves this seat! He just stays put inside and watches the world go by. It’s large enough for him to sleep too! Has great safety features like a seatbelt slide hole in back to stay in place, and a strap for his harness (which works with the one we already had). Great product. Quality materials. Worth the money, so get one and enjoy your car trips.

MY DOG LOVES IT
My dog isn’t big on comfort (he sleeps on the hardwood floor at night instead of his soft, comfy bed and despises couches and beds) so I wasn’t sure how he would do in the car seat but he LOVES IT!!! he likes being up higher so he can peer out the window. It’s roomy enough for him to lay down for an hour or so. I got this because we make long drives to visit family so it was an excellent investment.

Finally our dog sleeps in the car!
I bought the large size for a 14.5 kg beagle who loves looking out the window. As you can see she can sleep inside which is something she has never done before in the car ( please if it's all the dirt in the seats) It seems robust and with the belt it does not move while driving. I do not love the quality on the clips to harness. They look a bit small and cheap. But overall we are very happy with the purchase.

People you have to put the car seatbelt in correct place !!!! It is a great seat
I have 2 now, one large and one small... I have had the large for 3 years and use it in the car and in the golf cart I got the small one for the car so my 2 dogs have more room I have a 13 pound and 10 pound Havanese ,they are light but have long bodies. they love the seats . When you install them correctly there is no problem with them falling out and they MUST wear a harness not a neck collar. They are easy to take the cover off and wash. My one dog likes to chew through the tether straps so I use a thin chain for her instead and attach it just like the tether strap. The picture is the large seat in the golf cart. I use a strap through the seatbelt openings to attach to the cart seat frame . When in the car they like to lay down so I use the 2 seats
